You'd think this collapse would expose some of these people, but Clinton and W. have brought us the "no fault" presidencies--while I like some of what W. has done and almost nothing Clinton did, I loathe that both of them have erased the idea of resignation as a powerful tool in governance. Clinton didn't resign when he corrupted the presidency, and Bush has this robotic idea of "loyalty" that he got from his father, even though most of the people he's kept on don't deserve loyalty. After 9-11 there should have been firings all around, but if THAT wasn't a situation that got people fired, nothing will.
You state it so well! The let’s not point fingers approach equals no accountability. It started with small things and has found it’s way into 911 and now this. Disgraceful!
