I'm disappointed she didn't mention the predatory Clinton administration's shameless use of the Community Reinvestment Act as a bludgeon against lenders.
Or irresponsible people buying houses at prices they knew they couldn't afford, with little or nothing down, figuring they'd get rich quick a few months later when home prices had inflated some more and they could refinance and take cash out to keep paying the mortgage and all the bills for their extravagant lifestyle.
No, I am NOT a Sarah Palin fan. She's just blabbing whatever she thinks the masses want to hear, with no reference to principles. I find it depressing that so few FReepers have a problem with that. It's like listening to DU types four years ago, singing the praises of Kerry and Edwards, and insisting it was urgently important to vote for them because they really cared about the plight of poor and middle class people who couldn't afford health care. Seems reality just isn't on the radar screen anymore, and political campaigns are like major league ball games, where the hordes of witless fans holler mindlessly for this team or that because it's "their" team. The leagues and teams trade around steroid-abusing, violent, personally irresponsible players right and left, and it makes no difference to the fans, who continue to holler for "their" team to win no matter who's on it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should run out and vote for Obama. But we also shouldn't make fools of ourselves pretending to worship this alarmingly underqualified VP candidate, with a sketchy political track record.
Me-ow! ;-)
The only thing your rant is missing is “Get off my lawn!”
Amen!
