Global Poll Finds Obama Preferred in All Countries But U.S.

Barack Obama's proclamation last July to being a "citizen of the world" was affirmed Monday as a new poll -- taken before the August conventions -- showed that in 16 out of 17 countries surveyed he was the overwhelming choice to be the next president of the United States.

The lone country to prefer a John McCain presidency: the United States of America.

The Reader's Digest magazine poll, released Monday, asked 17,000 people in 17 countries, including the U.S., whom they would like to see elected president.

The poll also found that, counter to Obama's claims that America's reputation abroad is taking a beating, half of the 16 countries surveyed offered strong "pro-American" sentiments.

I have a bad feeling that we will find out that even the US prefers Obama. I think people don’t say it out loud so much, because they don’t want to get blasted from the radio and much of the media.

Anti-American attitudes were highest among those surveyed in Indonesia, the Netherlands, Spain and Canada. India and South Africa were the countries with the most positive opinions about the U.S.

What people don’t say out loud is that they prefer McCain.

Yep. somebody needs to tell Rasmussen this. As long as he uses a oversample of D+7, the only lead McCain will have is on Nov 5th.

Global Poll Finds Obama Preferred in All Countries But U.S.

First: WHO CARES?

Second: The reason the US is The Greatest Country on Earth is that we don't take orders from other countries.

Third: The rest of the world can BUTT OUT!

Maybe the fact that we are a free country and don’t prefer Obama helps account for why so many are so anxious to come to the US and so many become citizens—much better place to live. If other countries like Obama so much they could go live in Kenya, their leader should do nicely.

Madeline Albright on the Baracuda:

"Though I am flattered that Governor Palin has chosen to cite me as a source of wisdom, what I said had nothing to do with politics. This is yet another example of McCain and Palin distorting the truth, and all the more reason to remember that this campaign is not about gender, it is about which candidate has an agenda that will improve the lives of all Americans, including women. The truth is, if you care about the status of women in our society and in our troubled economy, the best choice by far is Obama-Biden."

"....And who by any chance is doing the donating?"

It would be great of Obama told us, but half of all his donations are about $100 or less, and he doesn't have to tell.

I heard this morning that two Palestinians bought thousands and thousands of dollars of stuff from the Obama store, most of which goes strait in his coffers.

Foreign money comes pouring in supposedly from overseas Americans, but there is no way of knowing who is actually doing it unless Obama releases the donor list and he isn't going to do it.

"The Republican Party is not organized around the notion of running for election anywhere but the United States," Cannon told FOXNews.com. "A number of Republican issues, including defending the Second Amendment or opposition to abortion, simply are not salient questions in Europe."

Rightfully so!

Frankly, the rest of the world can go to Hades.

I’m a nationalist - not a globalist, and I don’t give a hoot in you-know-where for the rest of the world’s irrelevant opinions.

We’ve bailed Europe out twice in the last century and kept most of them safe against the Soviet menace. AFAIC they’re all a bunch of ingrates.

Small dollar donations that fly under the radar. I’ve read that many, many of Obama’s small donations are in very odd dollar amounts like $23.44 — which makes sense if it’s converting from another currency.
