I've thought about it. It sure would help if you could ameliorate those winter cold snaps.
If you can stand the winters in Massachusetts, it’s not that much colder in NH. As long as the firewood holds out, we’re fine (and that’s a “renewable resource”). I’ve got two fireplaces and a wood stove and I’m getting a gas generator for when the power goes out during the occasional blizzard. A small price to pay for (relative) freedom.
Every bit helps. I've lived in Maine, and more recently in inland Eastern MA. Now I'm on the Cape. My wife really likes the Zone 7 winters. Whaccya gonna do, got to keep her happy.
I’d hide ‘em
I’ve wondered which Gay State laws could be challenged in state,or Federal, court now that the SCOTUS has better defined the 2nd Amendment. My hunch is that there are lots and lots of them.
As an overall permitting scheme, the system itself would probably withstand review. (Always refer to gun control laws as schemes.) The problem is that the law there isn’t really that terrible, but the individuals who enforce it are often petty tyrants who would have been on the wrong side at Boston Common.
So *that's* the point you bring to the Federal courts. You tell the judge (or panel of judges) that as "benign" the states gun statutes may seem on paper the individuals who enforce and administer these laws (police chiefs and others) are,in everyday practice, violating both the spirit and the letter of the Second Amendment as affirmed by the SCOTUS a few months ago.and you give the judges stats....pages and pages of stats....to prove it.Then the case works its way up the Federal chain and...VOILA!....the Gay State finally is forced to acknowledge that the Second Amendment isn't just about the National Guard and policemen.
