I was in Biotech back then and the word on the grapevine was Gallo is a first class a-hole.

Gallo was beyond a first class a-hole. His arrogance had no bounds and his science was community college at best.

Late seventies and early eighties, I had a close friend who was working with Gallo, so I was asked to come aboard their new, private venture, laboratory. After spending an exploratory couple of days there, watching, going to lunch, attending meetings, etc., I was eager to leave and did.

Oh well, maybe next time I'll get the Nobel (or whatever I fish out of a Cracker Jack box.).
