PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08

Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3

While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

That’s why the media will not allow the discussion of religion, guns, the unborn, and other conservative strengths in these debates.

“Oh God, he is off talking points. Holacaust? What is he talking about?”

He is pandering to the Jewish vote.

We should involve ourselves in humanitarian causes — just not if the people being killed and tortured are Iraquis right?

Obama doesn't think we had a "morl"l obligation to get rid of terrorist supporting Saddam while at the same time freeing Iraqis of the Hussein curse.

Thanks to HE and his friends/cohorts, we’re a declining financial power. I swear the financial “crisis” has been so orchestrated...

McCain: “Obama would have brought our troops home in defeat, and I’ll bring them home in victory and honor”. Nice shot Senator McCain!

That was a home run.

Hussein’s nonsense about military strength and economy shows truly how stupid he is.

Stupid and ignorant. He talks in Kenyan circles.

McCain, when talking about Obama’s withdrawl timetable from Iraq, that is the only time I saw that bouncer looking bald dude in the green shirt look interested. That’s the point McCain needs to hammer home.

worst. debate. ever.
I’m just hanging around to see if Obama actually says something of substance or makes more promises for freebies.

So.... No Ayers... No Jeremiah Wright. Rezko... One almost unintelligible comment about Zero being a uber-liberal... Not calling him a liar...

In my book, a DISASTER.... Missed opportunities all across the board... VERY little new from the 1st debate. Pathetic

How can Obama be so wordy and say nothing at all?

It's a practiced art form studied by those who worship the sound of their own voice.

Funny thing is Obama's not all that good at it. "Uhhh" isn't in the dictionary.

I've had more fun listening to my 15-year old daughter heckle the debate, especially Obama. She's been using her Carol Kane in "The Princess Bride" voice to yell "LIAR!!!" at Obama.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11? Hmmm.... regardless, according to UN resolutions, we had the RIGHT to go on and take out Saddam... The same UN that Obama loves...

And like anyone who has any portion of functional brain believes that Saddam had zero connection to terrorism (what about the documents directly linking Saddam and many prominent Al Qaeda leaders....?).
