I saw the video on YiouTube, and describing it as a mixed reaction is putting a pretty happy face on it. The boos were clear and audible - deep in a dem city, I expect nothing more, really.
Add this to the fact that no matter what the sport, Philly fans stink, and you have to wonder who is making these calls in the McCain campaign. Have her drop the pick at a more GOP friendly city. Or at the very least, a city with even a bit of class.
Be it Hockey, baseball, or ECW Wrestling, Philly fans stink. It’s amazing that a schmoe like me could know that and that the McCain campaign evidently didn’t.

The only way to win over hearts and minds is to get close enough to WIN those hearts and minds.
And a Flyers game is the best place to start. What's the benefit of going to a game where you already got the votes. That's a waste of precious campaign time.
Palin did the right thing by showing she has the guts, and the integrity, to walk into the lions den of a Democrat-worshiping city.
Methinks she will win over MORE hearts and minds at the Wachovia Center from people who will think, "Wow, she really IS a hockey mom. Good for her."
And an intelligent, brave woman, and a looker to boot.

B) The majority of Flyers fans close to the ice (and the microphones) are very liberal Main Line country club money types who look at Palin as a gun totin’ redneck.
C) She was invited to this event by Ed Snider, the owner of the Flyers and the Sixers, who is a HUGE GOP supporter and a big McCain fan.
So screw you about Philly fans. Try wearing an Eagles Jersey in Giants Stadium or a Flyers logo in Madison Square Garden. We are no better or worse that any other fans... Its a Philly thing...You have to live here to understand...
