David Letterman and Sen. John McCain will get a chance to make up.
The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to appear on Letterman's "Late Show" on Thursday.
It will be McCain's 13th visit to the CBS program but his first since he angered Letterman by canceling last month.
Letterman was unhappy when McCain sat for an interview with Katie Couric instead of him on Sept. 24.
At the time he said he first felt like a "patriot" to let McCain off his commitment to deal with the economy but "now I'm feeling like an ugly date."
A McCain spokeswoman said at the time that because of the economic crisis, the campaign "felt this wasn't a night for comedy."

shezzzzzzzzzzzzz...well, if Obama loses, it won't be anything that McCain and/or the McCain campaign has done. We can thank the Clintons & the Clintonistas for not voting for Obama...they wouldn't want to do anything that would prevent Hillary from running in 2012.
As Bill Kristol said this a.m. on Faux News, the McCain campaign has been a "stupid campaign."
Truer words, Dave.
"Can't we all just get along!" Rodney McCain.
How stupid! He’ll probably take the opportunity to apoligize to Obama —for his angry supporters.
and Bill Kristol just said on Faux News Sunday that McCain or Palin SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THEIR SHOW TODAY!!!
I don’t know who’s running the McCain campaign but whoever it is, THEY SHOULD BE FIRED TOMORROW!
WTF is up with that?
I am now convinced that if McLame looses it will be mostly of his own doing.
I hope that the McCain campaign will forever put to rest the idea that if you play nice with your enemies, they will respect you and play nice in return.
They will play you for a fool EVERY TIME and stab you in the FRONT, in full public view!!!!!
Why was Sarah booked on the Couric show? Couric is a poisonous asp. The McCain campaign is masochistic.
Just when things are worse they keep getting worser.
Great Sunday morning opportunity....gone with the wind. The McCain campaign is masochistic.
Fraternizing with the enemy on their biased shows is so stupid as to be unbelievable. To believe lambs can lie down with lions and emerge unscathed is masochistic.

I agree...he certainly is not a very good campaigner and whoever is running his campaign is an idiot!
Palin certainly outshines him on the campaign trail...which is certainly not difficult. LOL
Geezus! no one watches Letterman since he ceased to be funny back in 1991. Not ot mention he’s a full blown Obama supporter and flaming lib. Can McCain get any dumber?
Kristol said that? He’s been sucking up to McCain for years.
I think he’s planning to endorse 0bama....
Yes, both McCain and Pallin should have been on as many Sunday talk shows as possible. They are burning daylight. With three weeks until the election they are wasting time if they are taking the weekends off. Letterman will be his usual self, an a$$, and will make McCain look foolish.
What’s next? Going on Olbermann’s show?
Or perhaps he’s ready to endorse a whole new financial system....

Dim bulb undecideds don't watch the Sunday shows - they do watch Letterman. At least McCain is going where the eyeballs are, even if he fails to handle the environment well.
Where’s Karl Rove when we need him? Sigh....
I wish Palin was the one running for President.
As the audience of easily led idiots look for clever quips, and one-liners to base who they decide would made a good leader.. wow...
Watching a potential Commander in Chief go on these types of shows is just downright embarrassing. These campaigns have turned into a backwater, low budget production for the easily amused.
At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised.
