Maybe if you called the FBI in your area they can tell you whether they have an agent working on it in your state or not? It would be worth a shot I suppose. Especially if you think you have information they might not have considered - it wouldn’t hurt I don’t think. Maybe just mention that you’ve been researching this for a long time and may have information in your notes that will be useful for them?
