He even looks like his father. With hair.
Now that he's been elected to government, he can bed Belinda Stronach, just like every other loose politico in North America.

Best family tree here is Nielsen- Eric Nielsen, Deputy PM in Mulroney’s Cabinet, is Leslie Nielsen’s brother.

Dumbass question from the Lower 48 - They keep talking about on CBC about how Dion (your version of Harry Reid I assume) is going to be ousted by the Libs. Don’t suppose the Lib party would stick this Trudeau fella in as the party leader because of his ancestry?

Federal riding boundaries are drawing by a non partisan boundaries commission. Parliament used to do it but they invited accusations of gerrymandering. Today its all done according to objective criteria.

The cape is too populated now though. Most of our vacations are taken in PEI and Japan. The beach at Cavendish was fantastic last time I was in PEI.

Hard to say ... the libs may get desperate. Down the road I suspect. They will want to revive “Trudeaumania”. BARF

Trudeau will undoubtedly be the Liberal leader at some point. But he's still too green for the job. In the meantime, Dion or whatever other leader the Liberals pick will keep the party leader job warm for him to take on when he's ready.

Thank-you! We are very happy with the results although a majority goverment would have been ideal...
See how polls can be so wrong - deliberately or otherwise, which gives me great hope for McCain-Palin on Nov 4th. The pollsters were saying it would be a ‘too close to call’ election for us and voila, the CPC gets a STRONGER minority government than before!

They’re drawn up by Elections Canada after each census. Our Constitution specifies a specific number of seats for Québec, with the remaining seats divided among the other provinces based on the ratio of population to that of Québec.
Also, unlike the USA, federal elections here are administered entirely by the feds.

They'd love to. There's no telling how much - or how little - the son matches up to the famous father.

Trudeau the elder did the kind of long term damage to Canada that LBJ did to the US. Canada is an entirely different place than it was in 1967.

Not likely anytime soon because he’s a political newbie- frosh MP with no track record. Next Lib leader will be either Ignatieff or Rae.

The western end of PEI is nice too. Quiet, no tourists and there are a couple of very nice beaches there (Skinner’s Pond for one where Stompin’ Tom Connors grew up) that you will have all to yourself. We vacationed there twice and look forward to going back.
To: Squawk 8888
Does voting there require showing some sort of identification or can dead people vote?

Yep. It'll be a number of years yet before Justin Trudeau becomes a national figure. If the Liberals win in the future, he'll undoubtedly gain governmental experience before he's chosen to run for Prime Minister. In Canada, there is no chance of a complete inexperienced unknown like Obama winning the nation's highest office.
