I think that there should be zero applications through a 3rd party organization.

No church groups, no ACORN, no nothing. If someone is too lazy to go down to the city, county, or state offices to register on their own, then tough sh*t for them.

It’s a criminal organization. It’s Obama bringing the third world socialism to America. It (ACORN) deserves to be investigated as an organized crime.

If 100,000,000 of us vote legally and have our votes taken away by 1,500,000 illegal votes, we have lost a country.

I wonder what the actual vote count effect is with these fraudulent voter registrations.

By that I mean, suppose ACORN registers 20,000 fake voters. The voters simply do not exist to actually vote and effect election results, unless some number of people with fake IDs stand ready to cast fraudulent votes in the name of the 20,000 fraudulent registered voters. Are we supposing that in each case of voter registration fraud, someone with a Daffy Duck ID is going to show up to cast a vote?

Wait a minute, Mark Steyn. The Republicans have a glamorous, charismatic candidate too. Her name is Sarah Palin.

Maybe it’s time to require SSN’s from all voters.

I hope that when John McCain gets into office (YES, I am optomistic!) he will cancel out ANY funds towards groups like this. In fact, I heard him say that he was going to go through EVERY agency! We need to cut out 527s, ACORNs, all manner of fruits and nuts including special interests, etc. America’s financial system is desperate for a complete overhaul - top down. NOBAMA - just MCPAL!

Some of them are voting under false registrations AND legal registrations.

I agree. I do think motor-voter is appropriate since you register at the time you get an i.d. or update an i.d. with the state. I moved twice in 13 months, and it was a nice convenience.

"The MSM will start saying that it is a plot undertaken by the Republicans to give Acorn a bad name."

Too late. ACORN already has a bad name and it's starting to reflect on Obama...finally.

I agree 110%. And a positive photo ID to be shown at each and every polling place on election day.

I wonder if the McCain camp is overpolling Dems like other polling outfits, reflecting these fraudulent registrations. Would be nice to get a big, red nationwide surprise 11/4.

ACORN objected in what was it, FL? Said it disenfranchised voters to have to show i.d.

Of course.

We’ve got a long way to go there. Currently only 7 states require photo ID. Another 17 require a utility bill, bank statement, etc. The other 26 don’t require anything.

Acorn should be required to verify each voter they sign up and certify it under the penalty of perjury. If its not certified then it shouldn’t be accepted period. Lets see how they handle that. Why should it be put on the local boards to determine eligible voters. If the corn tries to pass it then they should be put on the hook.
