What firepower do we have. If the Senate filibuster is gone, we’re toast at least until the 2010 midterms.

I will be much less worried if somehow we can come out of this cycle with 44 or 45 GOP senators.

It doesn’t have to do with your feelings, tho. And you must never give up.

What if a battle were about to start, and one side FELT discouraged because the others looked so formidable? Would they win if they went into battle already discouraged? They may as well run away. But many, many battles have been won by smaller but fiercer forces. None of them allowed themselves to be discouraged.

Starting with David and Goliath.

Older women? Pure white guilt.

Women my age are old enough to rememmber the days before Brown vs Brown and the true horrid racism in the south.

I remember it well but I know what Obama is. They don’t. They just think it will “make up” for the past.

BTW I think Jesse Jackson wants O to lose,,his statement on the decline of influence of Zionists after O wins will surely convince some Jews that their friend is not O.

Then Farakhan says O is the Messiah,,you wonder, does he want O to lose?

It’s infuriating hearing McCain use the term “My friends”, as you say, we need to fight, they are the furthest thing to being “our friends”. Bush plays that game too, look were it gets him.

I don’t think that’s the “firepower” he was referring to.

But while we’re on the subject... I want to say this one more time to make sure it goes on record.

I, personally, no longer HAVE any firepower. I SOLD ALL MY GUNS TWO WEEKS AGO!

Yes, THAT’S correct... I SOLD all my guns - in private, legal, transactions, which do NOT require written records.

There is no need for ANYONE and any point in the future to break down my door looking for them, because I NO LONGER have any guns...

My mother called me stupid for voting for McCain. She believes the the Republicans are responsible for the mess in the housing market. If Obama gets his health care, they might tell her she is too old for health care with a bad heart.... I guess some of these people are going to be sorry for what they wished for.

My dad told me he would turn me in to the local Stasi, when they get created, because I dont think right. His words.

You know that freedom in this country is just about finished, when you have Americans talking to or about other Americans like that. When the left stops defending the right's right to speak and think freely, or vice versa, it's all over but the crying.

And there's going to be a lot of crying.

Once, Ronald Reagan told us America was a shining city on a hill. We're now coming within sight of being a stinking concentration camp in a deep valley. And with freedom coming to an end in America, a new Dark Age is coming for all of mankind.

Isn’t this the Cloward-Piven strategy? They are trying to cause chaos to create the change they need to be in power and stay there.

Riots, financial crisis, social upheaval.

Yet conservatives are evil. Yeah, right.

Thank you.

I had not considered “white guilt” as a possibility.

If that really IS the reason, then many of them are probably just “doing the right thing” by publicly supporting Obama, but a substantial number of them may NOT actually vote for him once they are alone in the booth...

...at least I HOPE so.

"Then Farakhan says O is the Messiah,,you wonder, does he want O to lose? "

No. Take his statement at face value. He considers 0bama the messiah and wants him in office.

I think Alinsky’s book “Rules for Radicals” should be required reading for every conservative activist. Regardless of the outcome of the election on November 4, we need to be better organized and we need a much better understanding of how the Democrats have been winning elections, especially since 2006. In 2006 several left-wing organizations sent campaign contributions to hundreds of Democrat candidates for the state legislature-unnoticed by Republicans until it was too late-those candidates unseated Republican incumbents all over the country.

Bi partisanism works really great seeing as we’re 11 trillion in debt.

We have been beaten down. We have been demonized. They have turned the children against us for 3 generations. We pulled the past two presidential elections out in squeakers.

We will not win this time because of conservatism. We will win because the majority of Americans are very afraid of zerO. But we have a lot of fraud, enabeled by our own government, to overcome.

If we lose, it will be conservative values and skills that allow some of us to survive. But survival will be about all we will be allowed and it will be on their terms.

There simply are not enough conservatives to win on that message. The conservatives who do exist are prone to voting 3rd party or think that there will be a short, quick fascist regime and then things will return to sanity. Voting 3rd party is not a luxury we have any longer. A fascist regime will act quickly to enact laws that further diminish us and those laws will be backed up with so much propaganda that we will not quickly recover, even if we would manage to to hold the present seats in Congress.

We either win this election all the way down the ticket or we will be nearly extinct in the future. There will not be a successful mass uprising when the military belongs to zerO. Even if there are mass resignations from the military, it doesn’t take the entire force to manage small insurrections. When there were housing marches and riots in Milwaukee in 1968, it took a small number of NG to put it down. Those of us in mixed neighborhoods lived under martial law for several days. It was very efficient.

All that said, I cannot believe the polls are accurate and I put a lot of faith in the PUMAs and in other ordinary Americans who will not vote for slavery. But, we are preparing, just in case. Everyone needs a Plan B for resistance and survival.

THis is why I’ve given up on the McCain “campaign” and am working to keep Steve Chabot in Congress.

Kos...in this congressional meeting, your pals in the Democrat Congressional caucuses have set a new standard for ineptitude and futility. Your Speaker and Senate Majority Leader in particular have been so stupid and amateurish as to cause one to pine for...well, never mind Republican adult leadership, that’s a given I miss that. I miss DEMOCRAT adult leadership. No, seriously...guys like Mike Mansfield and Tip O’Neill dwarf this current bunch. Heck, even Tom Daschle looks good. Yes, it’s that bad. (And by the way, Kos, free advice: If you people have any human feelings at all for Bob Byrd, you’ll get him to retire before he dies on the Senate floor, or worse, says something on the Senate floor that makes you wish he had died instead.)

Well, anyway, Kos, your guys have played the fool for the last two years, led by some of the biggest grinning morons to hold the jobs in my lifetime and maybe ever, and they’ve been rewarded with job ratings...well, if President Bush’s were anemic, your guys’ are dangerously close to completely bled out. So Kos, assume for a moment that I am, instead of the wingnut I am, a reachable, undecided independent voter. You want me to vote to help crush the GOP and give your guys even more power. Tell me, Markos old buddy...why?

You beat me to it. Female white guilt might be a factor that has not been considered...if they are now widows. If not, they’re still kowtowing to their husbands, which is a sad sight to see.
