The Rocky Mountain News ^ | October 3rd, 2008 | Mike Rosen

Posted on 10/16/2008 10:18:03 AM PDT by rosenfan

Coloradans are overloaded with 18 individual state ballot questions this year, more than at any time since 1912. Simplistic, misleading and inflammatory radio and TV ads - on all sides - generate more heat than light. While I've discussed many of these at length on my radio show, there's only room here for a brief summary and my recommendations.

For those who dont know Mike, he is a staunch fiscal conservative but social liberal. Be aware of this slant when reading his recs.

You are right. Mike used to irritate me when I lived in Denver.

I think it would be more precise to say that he leans Libertarian on social issues. When it comes to economics and foreign policy, he’s a rock-solid conservative.

He’s gone beyond libertarian, he is actively pro abort. I have no problem with his fiscal and foreign policy stances, but before people take his advice on the amendments, they need to understand his liberal social stances.

I recently completed my Colorado mail-in ballot. It took me one hour to complete mine. The lines at polling places are going to be very long on election day!

We will probably go October 25th for early voting. My husband is going to be an election judge this year—woo hoo.

I disagree. The Libertarian position on abortion is to allow it without government interference, whereas the the liberal position is to not only allow it but have the government pay for it.

"For those who dont know Mike, he is a staunch fiscal conservative but social liberal. Be aware of this slant when reading his recs."

So he is a Republican and Democrat. To sum it up, he's a libertarian. That's government by rule from the pathological top--out of touch with reality around healthier people.

It's no wonder that venereal diseases are so rampant.

He's much too pro-defense and pro-War On Terror to be a Libertarian. To sum it up, he's a Republican who leans Libertarian (and only on social issues).

Thank you. It's good to know that he's right on defense: that he agrees with me on invading and occupying Iran. So the syphilis epidemic among prevailing political folks has only halfway affected his brain so far.

I voted yesterday. Voted yes to McCalin Palin, Prop. 46 and 48, no to enforced unionism and to keep CO right to work, no on gambling, no to tax increases and weakening TABOR and no to tax increases in Salida and Chaffee County.

Please tell him to carry 2 nutcrackers and a pack of hungry squirrels with him that day? Thank you.
