Really? Then VA should not even be competitive in a presidential election. But it does elect Democrats now.

This is just another BS poll the Libs are using to suppress Republican votes.

These local news rags are rarely on target with polls, and then only by chance. So many polls have been outside their margins of error in elections past, that it is hard to take any of them seriously anymore.

The worst poll is potentially yet to come. Thats the one I'm worried about most: the 'exit poll' used to predict outcomes in states. This was used to great effect in '96 and '00. In '96 they erroneously predicted Georgia for Clinton (very early in the evening) and '00 they erroneously called Florida for Gore. This has the effect of demoralizing the conservative voters in other states. When they see Georgia fall, or Florida fall, well you get the picture. I wish we could get the word out to vote no matter what the media is saying on election day and point out how they have failed us in the past. Perhaps we could force them legally to post a disclaimer about past errors, and exit polls are just irregular indicators that sometimes have been right.

The key will be Tidewater in the south and the Shenandoah Valley to the west. A strong turnout there would give McCain 54% of the statewide vote. That's as good as its going to get. Kerry got 45% in 2004.

Sheesh!!

Of course, you could just take the note, cross out the word "posse", and put it on your McCain/Palin sign.

Tink tink...

WOW, this is frightening if oZERO is ahead by that much. I don’t think there is enough time to make up the difference. But than again I live in Texas where we are also experiencing our own share of ACORN nuts!

29.9 republican, 35.5 democrat internals 4+ MOE

VA was R+4 in 2004 and R+3 in 2006. In both elections, Republicans were 39% of the electorate.

Yep. A lot of libs have moved into NOVA and have changed the state's voting habits

Dumb asses leave the holes that the democrats created and move into great GOP neighborhoods and vote for the party that cause the problems that the fled

That is the definition of insanity

By the time they see the light (if ever )it is too late Just wish there was someplace all us conservatives could go and let the left devour itself

Hussein does not have a lead. The score is 0 - 0. Last time I checked, the game does not start until 4 November.

We should work on taking back California. It’s so much better than the eastern seaboard anyway.

If we could just move large numbers of conservatives in places like New England, Jersey, PA, Maryland, etc. out west, we’d be in business.

I’m half-kidding, but the democrats do have a electoral strategy, and it does involve taking over states, one by one. If we fail to react to it, we’ll inevitably be devoured.

I've been there. Suburb of DC. And I think that's the case in NOVA. Its a deep hued Blue.

Used to live in Montgomery, County Maryland, a hotbed of liberalism. And that is affecting NoVa. If McCain wins this election in VA, it may be the last time that the Republicans will win in the Old Dominion in a long while if politics are this partisan.

VA has “created” a lot of joke jobs for scams like Fannie & Freddie. This has helped make the state more purple. I still think McCain wins VA and the election.

President McCain should order Congress to shut both GSEs scams down.

Don’t believe the polls. They showed Kerry winning handily.

They did?

In 2004, Real Clear Politics' final average of the polls gave the following:

Bush 50.0%, Kerry 48.5%.

Actual results:

Bush 50.7%, Kerry 48.3%.

That's pretty darn close, if you ask me.

42.0 ............. MALE
58.0 ............. FEMALE

And Dems with a 5-point advantage in a right-leaning state. Any questions? :-)

500 likely voters? The sample size is a joke - way too small. Unless you have at least 1000 LV or RV it is a joke.
