The U.S. Supreme Court agreed with Democratic Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, granting her a stay on Friday to a temporary restraining order from the 6th Circuit Court that ordered her to provide a system for implementing voter fraud prevention methods.

Bush won Ohio by around 119000 votes. 200,000 plus all the other new registrations makes it look like we are screwed in Ohio.

What is unreasonable about verifying names?

The decision by the full court repudiates the lower court’s ruling siding with the Ohio Republican Party and ordering Brunner to verify records of about 200,000 of 666,000 new voters this year whose driver’s license and Social Security records don’t match information in other government databases.

So far it was only Stevens; and it looks like he has just accepted the case, nothing more.

At my age, I know for a fact that I was born and raised during one of the best times in our country. Those times are gone. Little do the liberals know, their freedoms are on the line now. I am glad I have all the old memories. I am sad for the United States. Maybe some people are correct. Bring our military home. They are not worth fighting for any longer.

The reasoning was that “the State of Ohio has a system in place to ensure that no fraud will be committed.”

Yes .. obviously so. That’s how we get a house full of college students who live n other states to rent a house in Ohio for one month, register to early vote, and then move back to their original State. That’s how we get Mickey Mouse and Tony Romo and the entire offensive line of the Dallass Crackgirlz to register (albeit in other states, but similar nonsense has gone on in Ohio and other states).

Any chance of an appeal to the full court?

The chance that the entire court took and ruled on this case in one day is about 0.0000001%. Whoever is reporting surely must have their facts backwards.

Jeez would be nice if Fox or any of the other news sources said “Supreme court gives Ohio 2-weeks” instead of “Supreme court tells GOP to piss off”

The fix is in! SCOTUS just gave the Oval Office to the messiah. Lots of leg tingling going on in SCOTUS this morning.

If God allows this to happen, it's going to be Smith & Wesson help us

God never merely allows things to happen. He wills whatsoever comes to pass. Don't make an idol of your tools.

Instead, they said they were granting Brunner's request because it appears that the law does not allow private entities, like the Ohio GOP, to file suit to enforce the provision of the law at issue.

I watched the same report you did, and it wasn’t Megan Kelly who reported. The report was that Stevens could have ruled himself, but he also had the option to bring it to the full court—which he did(the latter).
