This is why I find conservatives like Noonan and Buckley Jr's recent actions, ("let Obama win-it'll be OK", as well as wishy washy Republicans making 1/2 a$$ed efforts to win, (because they want to be invited to the dem cocktail parties) IMHO- these actions, are Chamberlin-esque.
I mean Hugo Chavez runs Venezuela. Where's the big ground swell of support for conservatism there? Answer: there's been some uprising from the people, but it's squashed. It's too late.
Once the socialists seize power, they use it too make sure they stay in power.
If people aren't willing to stand up and fight now, are they going to do it when there's a price to be paid for opposing the government?

For the first time in my life I am really afraid of what the government can do. If they want to go after you you are doomed.
I see the day when all of talk radio is silenced and the internet will be censored. If Obama gets elected, I don’t think we will feel safe posting on Free Republic anymore.
