His grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has always been one of the most important people in his life, Gibbs said. Along with his mother and his grandfather, she raised him in Hawaii from the time he was born to the moment he left for college.
Gibbs would not disclose her medical condition, other than to say it was very serious. She was released from the hospital last week, Gibbs said.
The decision that Sen. Obama is making to go to Hawaii underscores the seriousness of the situation, Gibbs said.
Gibbs also said Obama did not write a blurb for Ayers’ book.
I'm confused. What about the four years he went to school in Indonesia after his mother remarried?
Am I missing something?

Sorry, but not disclosing her “very serious” medical condition just seems disingenuous to me. What is wrong with this woman?
sure...she is ‘so important’, Barack did not visit her while she was in the hospital LAST WEEK!! Something is definately fishy here! Also, if it is suddenly ‘serious’, why doesn’t he go NOW?
Not buying it folks!
