How is Andy Harris doing in MD-01, normally a solid lock. Gilchest the uberRINO is departing and has endorsed Kratovil. And I just read in the Sunfishwraptoilet paper this morning that it’s a “toss-up” (of course they didn’t provide any polling).
I live in MD 01 and it does seem to be a toss-up. I think Harris assumed the seat was his and didn’t really do the work he had to do to ensure victory. Kratovil and his lover Gilcrest are all over the airwaves and sending out reams of junk mail, and you don’t tend to hear much from Harris.
Word I’ve heard and read is that MD-01 is a GOP leaner. It’s a pretty conservative district (don’t ask me how Gilchrest lasted that long). I found one Dem poll from early Sept showing a 36-36 tie. So I’d guess it’s leaning a bit to the Pubbie.
