Maybe the AP is trying to scare their base, I mean obama’s base, into making sure they vote.
My first thought this morning — reading of all the latest “Obama by 12” polls was that the American people had completely and totally lost all of their marbles. (Kinda like calling al Quaeda to treat you for a headache.) This poll — and the Battleground poll certainly give me cause to hope. My thought — besides corruption or just bad work on the part of pollsters — was that white voters might be less inclined to be completely truthful with a pollster with an identifiable minority accent. This would not explain the results by robo-pollsters, like Rasmussen, however. So I remain baffled.
Anything’s possible.
I was polled by Va Commonwealth University pollsters, via the Princeton Data folks according to my phone ID...It was a very straight forward yes no type poll with-out a lot of fancy BS. I refused to give my racial back-ground how-ever.
I was straight Republican all the way down thru Gilmore as senator. They didn’t ask about the congressional races! I’ll tell the truth to pollsters if I sense the questions are very even handed...if there is push polling, I’m going to have fun with them.
I’m still waiting to tell a push poller that I’m Cherokee and How I’m anti Democrat because of what the Dem’s did to the Cherokee under Andrew Jackson!(I’m not Cherokee but it will be fun to tweek the push pollers with a bit of sordid Democrat history)
Don't count your chickens, other polls have Obama up by 10 or more. The truth lies somewhere in between, probably a lot closer to the 1% than the 10%.
Being a pollster is starting to rank up there with used car salesmen and members of congress.
Time to staff up the suicide hotline center.

Funny as all hell, right now Mika B and Mike barnacle are on MSNBC reviewing all the polls showing McCain down by double digits. Nobody seems to have given them this AP Poll.
As always, my question remains the same....How are the Internals.
I do not believe any polls until confirming the sampling size by party.
They oversample Dems in those “outlier” polls.
Is this an accurate sample size?
If they oversampled R’s then this is moot.
I didn't see any internals posted. Perhaps others might find them.
In any case, I suspect strongly that AP didn't oversample conservatives or Republicans.

How hard is it to figure out the polls are in the tank for Bozo?
You have to realize that they are all oversampling something terrible this year, partly due to Acorn fraud, partly because they haven't figured out a large percentage of Hillary supporters will not vote for Bozo and partly because Bozo is spreading the illegal campaign money he has among the pollsters.
Can I prove that last assertion? No, but it goes a long ways toward explaining the wild up and down swings we are seeing. Disregard all polls including this poll also. Do you want to know the absolute truth? No politician was ever elected by a poll, they always had to actually win the votes on election day, never fails it always works that way. Vote for McCain/Palin, I already have and I am proud of it. Go Sarah!
