AP Even? Great googliemooglie! Drive-byes in panic! They keep trying to kill America, but the country just won't cooperate. No retreat; no surrender!

In 2000 and 2004 this was the same thing that was going on. The MSM controls the polls. The only poll that is important to them is the last one. The rest of the time they play with them to see if they can affect the election.

What happened to yesterday’s poll that showed Obama up by double digits?

These polls are ludicrous. Just vote on Novemeber 4th.

They are desperate to show Obama with the big mo headed into the election. Don’t buy into any of this.

Exactly. Still, when the MSM liars show the big mo for bo in the last week, there will be several FReepers in suicide mode along with the "I am concerned trolls" egging them off the ledge. It goes on and on and on....LOL!

Dear Sooth2222,

Michael Barone published a column today asking whether the polls are accurate.

Of course they're not. Snob-ama up 14 and McCain & Snob-ama even represent two different versions of reality. They are mutually exclusive. Someone is VERY FAR off.

My view is that a lot of folks are either very, very stupid, or very, very malevolent. Or some combination of both.

Since the last AP-GfK survey in late September, McCain also has:

_Posted big gains among likely voters earning under $50,000 a year; he now trails Obama by just 4 percentage points compared with 26 earlier.

_Surged among rural voters; he has an 18-point advantage, up from 4.

_Doubled his advantage among whites who haven't finished college and now leads by 20 points. McCain and Obama are running about even among white college graduates, no change from earlier.

_Made modest gains among whites of both genders, now leading by 22 points among white men and by 7 among white women.

_Improved slightly among whites who are married, now with a 24-point lead.

_Narrowed a gap among unmarried whites, though he still trails by 8 points.

McCain has cut into Obama's advantage on the questions of whom voters trust to handle the economy and the financial crisis. On both, the Democrat now leads by just 6 points, compared with 15 in the previous survey.

Intensity has increased among McCain's supporters.

A month ago, Obama had more strong supporters than McCain did. Now, the number of excited supporters is about even.

*Eight of 10 Democrats are supporting Obama, while nine in 10 Republicans are backing McCain. Independents are about evenly split.

Some 24 percent of likely voters were deemed still persuadable, meaning they were either undecided or said they might switch candidates. Those up-for-grabs voters came about equally from the three categories: undecideds, McCain supporters and Obama backers.

*This is significant!

On a side note, polls are garbage.

Anyway, I think this is right on:

An Associated Press-GfK poll shows the presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000.

"Whites" and "people earning less than $50,000." This is the reason Obama is going to Hawaii. This election is slipping away because the Joe Plumber incident really hurt Obama. The other thing is that he is having a tough time with the white Democrat base. I really believe he is trying to make an issue out of seeing his "white" grandmother. Did you notice how many pictures were sent out on all the news outlets showing him with his "white" grandparents. As I have said in previous threads, McCain will win and win big if he continues to attack and finish strong the next few days up until the election. The media has been so in the tank for Obama this time around because he needs a perfect trifecta (white Dem vote, conservatives staying home and vote fraud). He has one of the three lined up right now (vote fraud) and the media is trying to get McCain to soften his message to diminish conservative turnout. They are also trying to dampen conservative spirits with bogus poll numbers and saying this election is over. They don’t want us to show up. Palin was the spark for the McCain campaign and now the attacks on Obama’s character are taking their toll. I really believe the American people are starting to pay attention. I hope the McCain campaign continues to attack and not retreat.

Margin of error, I get it. Nonetheless it is not even. Would you have declared "even" in your headline had McCain/Palin been ahead by 1 point?

10-11% are still undecided? Tipp also has undecideds at a high percentage. Who are these people and how come so many of them still be undecided? Does the Marxist recognize this and is this the reason for his buying 30 minutes of prime time?

If true, I hope McCain has a strategy for closing on these folks. Maybe his strategy should be Sarah Palin on TV to address the nation. The landslide predictions could be correct and whoever attracts these undecideds will win and, possibly, win big.

You’re welcome. Don’t let the Marxist psy-ops get you down. With all the help the MSM has given Obama he should be up by 20. Millions of Americans will rebel against the MSM template in just a few days. I’d rather be in McCain’s shoes than Obama’s especially after Biden’s comments. He basically gutted Powell’s endorsement.
