Here is a summary of ACORN’s ties to the New Party:
Early documents of the New Party spell out their goals to unify the fragmented socialist/progressive left into a third party that would eventually dominate the Democratic Party and set US policy.

ACORN and the local SEIUs were key in organizing the various New Party branches and dominated them. The Chicago Democratic Socialists of America pointed this out in their news-letter “New Ground”:
“And ACORN has not had the reputation for being interested in coalition politics- until recently and, happily, not just within the New Party. In Chicago, ACORN has been working with the National Training and Information Center on housing issues, and Equip for Equality in challenging Illinois’ inaction on “Motor Voter” registration. ACORN has also become a major participant in Chicago Jobs with Justice.
But the nature of Chicago ACORN is secondary to the inevitable dynamics of the situation. As the single 800 pound gorilla in the Chicago New Party, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for newcomers to participate except on ACORN’s terms. This will make it difficult for the New Party to have a life apart from ACORN. ACORN also dominated the New Party in Little Rock, New Jersey and New York, as well as building up another political group called the Working Families Party. The comments say “send this info to Drudge, McCain, etc” so apparently no one is going to run with this. The article claims that the New Party denied that Obama was a member back in the summer, but that was before this newletter was found. But apparently Obama has got the party leaders saying what he wants him to say- that he wasn’t a member. I expect that’s how he’s covering this up- saying “hey, the leaders say I wasn’t a member, that newletter was just mistaken.”
Obama was voicing clearly Marxist views as recently as his visit a week or so ago to Joe the Plumber’s street.

So far the Obama campaign’s respose has been that Obama ran as a Democrat in that campaign.
Of course he did. The New Party was a fusion party that generally ran its candidates as Democrats. Also important is that Obama had to sign a contract with them in order to get their endorsement.

The complicit media will just ignore this or make some disconnected reference, such as Reagan being a former Democrat.
These kinds of topics are going nowhere, if the MSM have anything to say about them. They can’t afford, at this stage, to let their golden boy [is that racist now?] be tarnished. They have too much invested in him.
a large part of the population does not know the meaning of socalism or marxism and an even larger part of the country thinks it means u get to stay home and let someone else support u. the people embrace socialism. they need to see a lot of film bout starving russians and the low standard of living they had.
Politico did look into Obama’s 1996 campaign. They posted this answer he provided to a questionaire which says he’s running as a Democrat and admits he was “endorsed” by the New Party:

If you look at that questionaire, it’s really left-wing stuff. No decent politician would even brag about being “endorsed” by the New Party, but I’m sure Obama will use the questionaire as proof that he wasn’t an actual member of the party.
Why would o’bama be afraid and embarrassed of his relationship and membership with a socialist party? /s
