“I agree American will realize the mistake, but could it really change course that easily?”

It took 2 years to neutralize Clinton. IF BHO gets in with a super majority in Congress we’ll have two years of pain but I believe they will overplay their hand. 2010 will be the time to take back Congress to neutralize BHO.

I don’t believe any of the polls coming out of the mainstream press anyway. Any talk of a BHO presidency at this point is very premature. Let’s wait until poeple get in the booth and cast their vote in private. A big Republican turnout will create a McCain landslide. I personally know of MANY die-hard Dems who will refuse to vote for BHO and some of those will vote for McCain.

it will be difficult to take congress back completely in 2010. we will probably be down 40-50 seats in the house after nov 4. doable to recapture in 2 years, but difficult. the senate will out of reach until 2012. the 2010 map will yield a few pickup possibilities but it’ll be impossible to take the at least 6 (probably more like 8 seats) needed to take the senate.

with obama in there, we are realistically looking at 4 years of complete liberal control of the government.

I sincerely hope your scenario is correct. My son is very politically astute (he's worked on the Hill) and thinks the same thing. However, given Obama's 'transformational' commitment, a supermajority, and a complicit media that obligingly runs cover for the Dems, I can't help but fear some type of shenanigans are in the offing. Pray that I am wrong.
