I wonder how Colin Powell feels about this. In his book, he speaks about how the all-volunteer services was the greatest thing about the military and how it made enforcing standards much easier. I’d like to see someone ask Mr. Powell what his take on bringing back the draft would do to the current U.S Military. Maybe Barack should have consulted with Mr. Powell before speaking about this...but then again, the Messiah doesn’t need to consult anyone about anything.

So long as Obama proposes it with grace, style, and panache, Powell will approve of it, because style and not substance are the exact reasons Powell cited for his endorsement.
