Granted that Clinton went “too far” but he was restrained from going farther by the Republican Congress.
Granted the Clintons were corrupt but their (or at least his) was corruption within the system. Obama wants to change that goes outside the system. I believe that he realizes this: that is, that Obama’s change is revolutionary. And for that reason, Clinton's support of Obama had been perfunctory at best.

Those who want national health insurance want it because they want it, regardless of any rational arguments that might be put forward to warn them against the program.

The far right wing of the GOP is going to have to pull their heads out and wake to the fact that they CAN NEVER WIN with their agenda.

If true, that would only hold if society remains more or less as it is now, AND if conservatives restrict themselves to the strategies and tactics we have used up to now. I tend to doubt that either of these conditions will be true for much longer.

Because they think anything Free has to be a bargain.

Not exactly. The most avid supporters are not those who lack health insurance. The most avid are those who see national health insurance as an essential element of a modern state. The US is, they repeat, the only industrial society without a national health insurance plan. Other countries have it, so should we.

You’re right of course.

I should have put a “/s” at the end of my post as it was meant to be “sarcastic”.

I think Hillary has gotten what she wants from Obama (if he is elected), either a high cabinet position or Supreme Court justice position (my guess because that would insure them a lifetime of rulership) in exchange for showing “support” for him publicly. Hillary & Bill are like Obama. They want to RULE, and don’t seem to much care how they get there. Does anyone think the Clintons don’t realize what the Obamassiah, Pelosi and Reid, and a Supreme Court that will legislate from the bench will do to this country? Does anyone think they actually CARE?

Governor Palin IS the next Margaret Thatcher. I think the leftist/socialist/heckmightaswellsayit - communist, media will continue to lie about her and attack her, trying to protect their “Obamassiah Hussein” until she will come back in 2012 loaded for DONKEY and, hopefully, bring Bobby Jindal and a few others with her - and maybe even as early as 2010 - IF the “Obamassiah” is elected. - I really have my doubts that Hussein can continue to blame “Bush” for everything for two more years.

Hussein is counting his chickens before they hatch. Scripture does read that “pride goeth before a fall”, and if he pulls out those Greek columns for his big planned victory celebration at 6:00 PM on election night, he’s certainly being arrogant and prideful.

I wish Rush would write a short book explaining clearly and to the point exactly what happened that caused this fannie/freddie meltdown - without his picture on the front, but with a cover that won’t make the liberals automatically ignore it. Maybe photos of Frank, Pelosi, Dodd, Obama and Raines will attract them.

A trifecta of socialism (Presidente, Congress, Senate) and at least two leftist Supreme Court Justices.

Also a lot of taxation of the wealthy earning more than $15,000 a year.

Increases in government jobs that vote Democrat and so forth.

It is my thinking that a lot of the “3rd Party” pushers that visit FR are really ringers from DU. A lot of them brag about coming over here and messing with the folks on FR. (What few times I’ve been able to stomach the obscene, juvenile language over at DU.)

I agree with you 100% — some of the comments don’t sound like any conservatives I know! Very good points!

Hillary may settle a Supreme Court appointment, although I remain convinced she wants to return to the White House as a resident.
A desire to rule is not confined to Bill and Hillary. All on the Left have an intense desire for power and will do or say anything to get it. They want the power to change society in ways that are acceptable to them.

Sorry, Barry, it's not a good job to have if privacy is important to you. Until you demonstrate that you are CONSTITUTIONALLY QUALIFIED to be POTUS by releasing your BC - even if it shows you are of less than, uh, honorable birth... why should you be recognized as such?

We can end all of this talk by voting, and getting our friends to vote.
