Is Barack Obama the “promised warrior” coming to help the Hidden Imam of Shiite Muslims conquer the world?
The question has made the rounds in Iran since last month, when a pro-government Web site published a Hadith (or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam.
According to the tradition, Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet’s cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a “tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.” Commanding “the strongest army on earth,” the new ruler in the West will carry “a clear sign” from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: “Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us.”
In a curious coincidence Obama’s first and second names—Barack Hussein—mean “the blessing of Hussein” in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means “he is with us,” the magic formula in Majlisi’s tradition...

OBL is more of an icon/puppet at this juncture as we’ve had no definitive proof for many years now AFAIK that he’s even alive.
That's interesting. I wouldn't have guessed it. It's not unusual to read about soldiers who are on their second or third tours in Iraq.
But I will be re-enlisting in the next few weeks/months, and I will get an assignment where I am guaranteed to be able to do my job. Yeah, my Commander-in-Chief will probably be Barack Obama. The decision to re-enlist has absolutely nothing to do with who is in my chain of command.
When men like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama can be president, it's very fortunate for this country that there are men who think like you.

Isn't it about time that this talk about getting Osama stops, at least for now? Obama has been deceptively using this as a campaign issue against McCain, even though we know which candidate as president would be more likely to "get" Osama. The major point is, though, that Osama more likely than not has assumed cave temperature years ago. Hard to believe he can survive such primitive surroundings so long given the medical attention he is reputed to have required.
And, of course you're correct to point out that his capture or death would not be the end of the WOT. His death has most likely already occurred, and yet the WOT is not yet won.
We have a lot further to go to even THAT score. This is a start.
