Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers....have been involved in spreading ant-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election. No, they've actually been seeking to hurt McCain/Palin's chance in this election. Why? Because a GOP victory next week effectively eliminates Romney from contention in '12.

Romney is not, nor will he ever be, in contention. People in the midlands and Texas just don’t connect to him. The suit’s too good, the hair’s too perfect.
He just seems slick and untrustworthy.
