I live 50 minutes away. What time do you think I should show up, to make sure I get a good view of Governor Palin?

I will get tickets tomorrow and check to see if 3 pm is doors open, or the speaking time. Get there as far ahead of the doors open time as you can... like minimum 1 hr. First in, best seats, except for reserved seating.

I would show up very early, as early as 11 or 12. For Hershey, I was still showering Tues morning and my husband had on the local news. People were gathering outside at Hershey Giant Center then! We got there at 710 and it took an hour to get in. Don’t take in a lot of stuff; if it rains, be prepared to leave your umbrella outside. Don’t take a purse or if you do clear it out of all extraneous items. I feel bad, mine had so many pockets, and the poor guy had to go thru every pocket. I didn’t think. My coworker went to Shippensburg and was the last one in; there were still at least a thousand people outside.
