Day of fasting, prayer a prelude to Nov. 4

The foundation launched in honor of famed Christian speaker, broadcaster and leader D. James Kennedy, who founded the Coral Ridge Ministries, has announced a day of prayer for Nov. 3.

"We are about to set a course that will affect our country for generations to come," said a statement from Jennifer Kennedy Cassidy of the D. James Kennedy Foundation.

"For this reason we are calling on all Christian leaders and their congregations to join with us for a day of fasting and prayer the day before the election on Monday, November 3rd," she said.

"Please join with us as God instructed us in 2 Chronicles 7:14," she said, citing the Bible:

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"We're less than a week until the most important election in our lifetime. Must is at stake that is vital to our nation," she said.

That is why I think Prop 8* from a faith standpoint is more imporatant than the Presidential Election

Marriage and the Sabbath were GOD’s commandments to Mankind if all repent of there sins restore his Law that Marriage is 1 Man and 1 Woman he will heal there land.

This evening our church will conduct an election pray night. My husband and I will be there and other countless folk. WE HAVE TO UNITE and seek God for forgiveness and Mercy. We CAN NOT win this election without him. ONLY the Lord can change hearts and minds. We’ve done EVERYTHING humanly possible that can be done. NOW it’s in the hands of the Lord. I just pray come 5th we still have our freedoms and the right to worship the Lord in His house. GOD HELP US!

I was the reader at Daily Mass today and all these thoughts went flashing through my mind as I prepared for proclaiming this readings.  Any thoughts?

Amen. Our Church will unite for prayer Sunday night. But have been and will continue to be praying throughout this critical time. GOD is in control, everyone....and He is not mocked. Iv’e been fasting this whole week, my stomach is in knotts I can hardly eat...I pray for the peace of the Lord everyday, but I get so distressed!!!

I spoke to my pastor if we could have a prayer & fasting day on Monday Nov 3 at our church, and I explained that a number of Christian organizations & key leaders, such as Family Focus, Coral Ridge Ministries, Janet Porter & others were encouraging all Christians to set aside Nov 3 as a Day of Prayer (& fasting for those who wish to). My pastor was fully supportive & encouraging with this and will announce it in our services on Sunday. I plan on taking as much of the work day off on Monday as I can, and then remaining at our church till 9 pm, to pray with those who show up.

I have been desperately praying and pleading with God that if he was willing to spare the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah, if only 10 righteous souls were found, than I am begging with God, on behalf of our founding fathers and the Christian values that our nation as founded on, and the sacrifice & bloodshed & death & wounded of millions of Americans for our country & freedom & liberty, and last of all the desperate prayers of hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of Christians right now, who are praying & and asking for God, to defeat the resources & media & financial onslaught of Obama & his socialist-fascist ideology & his thugs & brownshirts.

Please God do not allow this evil man to gloat in smug arrogance & haughtiness & pride & to bask in godlike adulation from the evil ignorant masses who rabidly seek to worship this false teacher & anti-christ "savior" of the world. My heart is breaking if God does not hear or answer our cries, but would have been willing to spare 2 debauched cities, Sodom & Gomorrah, for only 10 righteous souls. I cannot think of a greater atrocity or insult to the memories of our founding fathers or the bloodshed & sacrifice of men & women who have fought & died for our country, than to allow a pathological liar, an absolute demonic, deceiver, immoral reprobate like Barack Hussein Obama to become the next U.S. president.

I woke up at 4:15 am this morning, partly because I had a 7 am meeting that I was presenting at, and I was keyed up for that..... but also I have been so concerned & praying about this election & begging God for his mercy & grace, to spare our nation from the abomination of an evil, immoral, pathological liar, corrupt reprobate, as Barack Hussein Obama.

I could not get back to bed, so I just prayed some more & then got up. Sometimes at work I will close my office door and get on my knees to cry out to God, to spare our nation from evil Obama, and also to pray for other conservative candidates such as Michelle Bachman, Marilyn Musgrave, Bill Russell (running against Murtha) and any of candidates to defeat the evil, evil democRATs. And of course I always pray for Sarah Palin, that God will put a hedge of protection around her & her family and that the slings & arrows & attacks of the enemy (the demonRATs, the rabid media and the devil-but I repeat myself). I pray that these vicious lies & attacks will in fact be turned right back onto those evil reprobates who are making these attacks.

We are in a spiritual battle for the heart & soul of our nation, to beg for God's mercy & grace to save up from spiritual darkness & oppression & communism.

I dont know you, yet my spirit knows I do know you, and could easily have fellowship with you. I see this in Sarah Palin too! There is this sence of peace and it is hard to explain to an unbeliever, but it is there. I do not get this feeling from Obama...he is empty...and my spirit does sence something dangerous...I am not sure it is with him or who ever he follows, but he is not right.

As I was praying today. I came upon this scripture. I’d like to share it with you. God’s Will be done!
1 Corinthians chapter 2

vs 10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God. Which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritural thoughts with spriritual word,
