SNL is on the way to NH and surprisingly Maine.
He should go on Rush’s show though, or Palin should work the talk shows tomorrow and Monday.
VA, CO, need attention as well.
No excuse for him not to go on Rush. McCain has been cordial to every far-lefty media people who’ve said the worst things about him and his family.
All Rush does is a funny. ‘Hello my friends!’
Well, McCain going on will freeze out Obama, not a terrible strategy.
The purpose of going on Rush is not to sway swing voters - it's to get volunteer to donate time or money to help sway swing voters.
I tend to think SNL is a waste of his time. Palin was not on SNL long enough to do anything other than boost the SNL advertising revenue. If voters are so shallow that a brief comedy appearance buys their vote over the issues in this campaign, I'm not sure I want them voting anyway.
McCain thinks Palin isn’t capable of doing the Jay Leno Show, but that he can handle the jerks on SNL.
I think he wrong on both counts.
McCain has some cajohnes... It’s a gutsy move this close to election day, to go into the Lion’s Den once again.
..he knows the tide is turning his way—this could kick it into overdrive and trump any mo from that messianic infomercial...
That’s when John is at his best-when he can inject humor into a situation.
Undecided voters are that shallow !
Think about it, 4 days from the election and still undecided?
How is that possible?
Going on SNL is to go after the 1 or 2% if the “undecideds”!
The “debates” were the same thing!
The “undecideds” need to be “entertained” in order to get their votes!

Think it’s terrific! 1. It makes it look like he has time to laugh with 3 days left- no sweat—2) on the last SNL before the election, at least, SNL won’t skewer him with him there (hope); and 3) I think that SNL wants Palin to win- SNL needs her around to keep the ratings up -:)
Ironically, Rush would have been a bad move NOW- because, we all know if he had to go on Rush at this point, McCain would be in real trouble. Sarah=Rush.

I think he wants to beat Sarah’s ratings then compare them to the tepid response to Obama’s 6 million dollar flop. I hope he has a little better luck with the scripts than Sarah. Maybe he and Ben Affleck have something cooking.
Even discounting my heavy optimism, freezing out Obama seems a solid reason for doing this.
Disregard that Affleck part. That’s the second time tonight I’ve misread part of a post. My eyes must be tired from reading FR all day.
I wish he wouldn’t do this...they hate him and will do their best to make him look stupid. It’s not going to help him with votes anyways, not only that...SNL sucks anymore.

The undecideds probably won’t bother to vote. Why take the trouble if you don’t even know who you’ll vote for?
If Tina Fey is there he should say “Ti Kanis” (pronouced “Tea Kah nees”) which means how are you in Greek.
