Apparently, they’re so overloaded with people that most of them end up working well below their level of competence, in a sort of inverted Peter Principle.

I don't understand, and will never understand, why the moral issues seem to matter not at all to most Black Americans. If it were all a matter of color, then Alan would have lots of Black backers. But he does not.

American Blacks worship like rightwing, gap-toothed, snake-handling hillbillies. But they vote like wealthy northeastern unitarian universalists.

Obama believes that the world’s ills can be accomplished by forming a domestic “national service” army. He doesn’t explain what they will do, but it sounds like they will be an army of people outfitted with clipboards, gathering petitions and badgering people that aren’t on the P.C. haywagon.

This is the the community organizing model:

Prey upon people by convincing them they're needed for the “cause” and use them until they burn out after there's nothing left to themselves.

Meanwhile, the self-serving users withing the organization advance themselves.

It's no different than a ponzi, multi-level scheme.

I've seen it first hand.

I noticed long ago how obama is using African Americans to run his campaign and have him win for their color...yet he doesnt hang around the African American Community unless it is to get votes or money...he used the underprivedge of ACORN to get him votes, he used their ignorance and belief in HOpe to prey on their minds...he used the words of their faithful leader MLK, to pull at their heart strings, but rarely is seen doing the work of Martin Luther King, MLK was humble, Obama is Elitist...he shrugs off Jesse Jackson, He uses Sharpton, He is the master of the puppets (Black Caucus). Obama is a fraud, he is a Kenyan, He is Muslim, He is a socialist, and he has taken the only thing these poor African Americans had and that was hope.

On the off chance that you ever read this, and you're disappointed in and annoyed at your Party's reaction to an Obama loss (or, for that matter, an Obama win), by all means: contact us. The GOP can find a better place for you than an Alexandrian strip mall.

I have to disagree. This woman is disturbed. She has sacrificed money for her own son's college tuition, which she took out a loan for, and gave it to a politician. She sees EVERYTHING in terms of race. She seems genuinely delusional. Frankly I would not want someone like this on my side.

"This is the first time in a long time that black people are actually going to have someone to look up to who is respected universally, around the world," if Obama wins the election, Desmond said.

Somebody didn't pay attention in history class. And she wouldn't even need a long memory to recall Mandela, who isn't dead.

I don’t hold out much hope for American blacks who think that Obama will improve their lot. They merely have too look at the black mayors of big cities like Detroit to see what that has done for them. If more blacks start thinking of themselves as individuals with their own purpose in life instead of worker ants for a cause, then the sky is the limit for them.

The gist of Red State seems to be the young, white Obama supporters are dissing an intelligent, Princeton educated black woman by making her work outside a Best Buy instead of utilizing her intelligence. But maybe that’s not what these young whites see. Maybe they see a middle aged black woman who, to them at least, doesn’t speak the king’s English. They might see an unmarried black woman with a teenage son. Maybe they just see another black woman with a chip on her shoulder who has “boyfriend” instead of a husband. I don’t know, maybe the young, white Obama supporters are so intent on getting Barack elected, they don’t have time to worry about affirmative action in the campaign.

This women would do far better to volunteer at an animal shelter or put all that drive into a job than put her faith in in the “messiah” or any politician for that matter. She is sure to be disappointed. Then again, maybe not. Her community has a penchant for raising snake oil salesman to the status of saints.

What is a Princeton grad doing? She must be way too “intimidating” by that I mean she has a big chip on her shoulder “speaks her mind” a la Michelle....

I almost feel sorry for her, too, because she does sound like a sincere and well-meaning woman. One thing that struck me, though, was her frustration that the younger black people today, including her own son, don’t “get” it; they don’t understand the oppression that she felt growing up. They haven’t experienced the struggles of their parents’ generation.

Um, that’s a good thing, isn’t it???

She feels a twinge of annoyance at the campaign letting young people run things. "Some of them could use some home training," she said. "I think many of them don't realize the slights. You can only blame their parents for that."

Young people have 10 times the energy as she does. They work 15 hour days volunteering for Obama. They don't expect a lot of finery or compensation. This isn't a conspiracy against old people.

This isn’t sad. It’s manipulative.

I read the whole article, expecting to see a downtroden true-believer who genuinely got dealt a bad hand in life and was falsely lead to buy into the hope/hype. But no. This is a Princeton-educated woman who views life through race-colored lenses all to push an agenda, and more likely than not, to garner attention for herself as a “Joe the Plumber” type personality.

And as an aside, it sounds like her boyfriend is secretly voting for McCain.

This is the most MANIPULATIVE and PHONY thing I’ve read all day.

The truly sad thing is that had McCain been born ‘black’ she would gladly follow him to the end of the world and back.

Well I did find something she said that I agree with (speaking of some of the younger people she works with “”Some of them could use some home training,” I thought I was about the only one left who still used that expression.

I’d be saddened for the woman in the article, but know she’d likely hate me for it. So, once again, I’m dragging out something that has made the rounds... for centuries.

THE POLITICS OF OBEDIENCE: THE DISCOURSE OF VOLUNTARY SERVITUDE

When we enslave ourselves, none can free us. We’ll even bite the hand that tries to spring the door open for us.

I had to go back and read page 2 twice to verify that this babe had been to Princton!! And she can do is whine about how bad she feels about being black.
Why is she so concerned that her son go to college? Clearly she hasn’t done anything with her education. Must have been all those black history courses.

I don’t think this is sad. I think its typical. And don’t call us. We don’t need fools.

Her story doesn’t add up. She’s a Princeton grad but works as a supervisor at the Howard County health dept? That sounds a little too mid-level management for her background.

Any African-American woman who graduated from Princeton should be able to write her own ticket for any job she wants. She’d be in huge demand by most corporations and government agencies, and after so many years should be in charge of the agency.
