Obama to MTV on His Job Killing Tax Increase: "That's Chump Change, That's Nothing"
Monday, November 3, 2008 | Kristinn

Barack Obama gave an interview to MTV on Saturday in Nevada that aired this morning. Host 'Sway' posed questions e-mailed by MTV viewers. One questioner asked about Obama's 'spread the wealth' tax plan. After Obama gave his usual bamboozle, Sway asked a follow-up on the matter:

Sway: Just out of curiosity, for those that are being taxed that are making more than $250,000 a year, how much difference would it be from how they are being taxed today?

Obama: Well, right now, they are getting taxed at 36 percent. Under Bill Clinton in the 1990s, they were being taxed at 39.6 percent. You are talking about a 3.6 percent difference, and for the average person who is making half a million, a million dollars, now people like you Sway, that's chump change, that's nothing. But it could make a big difference for that young person who is trying to figure out whether they can go to college or not, if we could give them more of a break or more scholarships or grants to go to college.

Sway: For the record, I don't make that kind of money, so I am going to go ahead and say that.....

Chump change? No, the definition of chump change is the amount of money Barrack has given to charity.

Hussein’s worshiper on MTV probably didn’t have the guts to ask his Messiah about how many people will be affected by higher prices/layoffs/etc. because of the increased costs to those making more than $120,000—according to Bill Richardson.

I know someone personally who is facing a pay cut of 33%...a small businessman employees them. The Obama economy may eventually SHUT HIM DOWN completely, and they’ll lose their job. But 1/3 of their income is in danger immediately.

Nice job, Hussein.

Lets go just over 250000 - say 300000. 4% is 12000, or 1000 dollars a month out of your budget, in addition to the taxes you already pay. 1000 per month is not chump change to me, and I will probably fall into his upper bracket somewhere (just barely). Now add the alternative minimum tax and you will see why I am trying to figure out how to reduce my income - I will actually bring more home if I do.

Obama's in that tax category. How much "chump change" has he given to his poor relatives?

Oh that's right, zero. Zero from the Zero.

Pure, unadulterated, wealth redistribution at every twist and turn. The entitlement pimps and whores are out of control.

Sway: For the record, I don't make that kind of money, so I am going to go ahead and say that. All right, my next question is from Joseph from Brooklyn, New York. Joseph says: "Mr. Obama, my name is Joseph Stort, and I come from Red Hook, Brooklyn. I know at least 40 people who were murdered because they grew up in a climate of hopelessness. How can we begin to inject hope into the inner cities, to those society has deemed unreachable?'

Get them off of welfare and give them a sense of hope? Or, keep them on welfare and never let them experience success for themselves.

No, that 3.6% increase is envisioned as going right into the pocket of that young person so they can pay for school, rather than the young person borrowing and getting a job like you and I did.

Makes me want to shake my head which I hear that it will pay off to lower your income. Sounds really wrong, but unfortunately that is how things are, and may get worse.

On the average, the government takes over 47% of your money through some form of tax. Obama’s pie in the sky BS, well, is just BS. Remember, we revolted against England for 2%. And while we were boiled slowly like a frog, we are now handing over trillions in taxes and getting little for it.

Good grief - 3.6% of $250K is $9,000! In my book, that’s not “chump change”.

He’s such a thug. I can’t stand to even look at him anymore.

That’s about $10,000 a year at 250K. When you put it that way, it doesn’t sould like a little bit to anyone.

“I’m going to raise taxes $10,000 a year on someone making $250,000 a year.”
