There would be no bright side, no hope for next time (as the Dems would permanently rig the elections), but the people who put him in will suffer along with the rest of us.
If this guy gets in, the United States of America is toast, and the people will have brought it upon themselves. But we should not write off the electorate just yet. 50 votes have been counted, with about 129,999,950 left to go, including yours and mine. I will do my part, and if socialism wins out, I will wash my hands of it (and buy guns).
It may very well go the way you say ... it’s late and I’m a dumb blonde to begin with, you see where I’m going with this. Anyway, that reminds me of a funny story from last year (slightly racy), but I’d feel better sending it through FReepmail. No potty words or anything, just suggestive.

Well, while McCain was woefully unprepared for the economic crisis and made things about disastrous with stupid comments “fundamentals..economy are sound” and the “not really familiar with economic issues” comment, it is clear that Romney (and also Giuliani) would both have been godsends for us, ripping Obama to shreds on the economic issue because of massive executive experience.

Well this is GREAT news, they have really gone for some historical, monstrous losers! Obama will be the cherry on top!
At the very beginnings of the republicans starting to declare for the primaries, I stated that there were two I'd NEVER, EVER vote for. That was Guiliani and McCain. I have always been a woman of my word and McCain has not said any words which have changed my mind. I truly don't know what I'll do in the prez race. Down ballot I will vote for each and every conservative candidate, perhaps regardless of party. In my local races, there is a democrat running who is a great guy and much more conservative than the republican that is running. That happens alot in the Deep South.
Were these votes actually counted or was this just an exit poll? I didn’t think any votes could actually counted, and reported, until tomorrow. What gives? If it was an exit poll, as I suspect, then the results are likely complete BS.
McCain will overcome this massive early lead and take New Hampshire.

I thought polling places could not release the results until the entire state has closed the polls...
If that’s the case, this is an exit poll and NOT indicative of the actual result.
Given the economic issue Romney with his business-like approach and long history of hands-on executive experience would now be well ahead of Obama and probably close to an EV vote victory. I think a health-care system change that has a distinct GOP stamp on it would have also helped elect him with most Independents falling his way. Let’s face it, Democrats will be in an even larger majority, so you can either just veto the crap out of all bills that come before you for your entire presidency or take “some” of their proposals and make it distinctly more conservative/Republican as a prerequisite to sign it.
I hear ya on McCain. He was my absolute LAST pick in the primaries, I almost made cartwheels when reports had it that he was about to drop out of the race because of his campaign verging on bankruptcy. I held my nose and voted for him last week, though, because of the Supreme Court and lower court implications plus an uninhibited Democratic trifecta would prove disastrous. You should think about that and, holding your nose, pull the lever for McCain anyway.
BTW, where is that racy story you promised? :-)
These are official vote tallies. Both places (Dixville and Hart’s) have had traditionally “first in the nation” early voting status that is entirely open and transparent.
