That part really gets to me. I know several intelligent people who are voting for Obama because they think it’ll put an end to a “horrible past” and will end disagreement between the races. Um, what? Given the church Obama spent years at and the philosophy he grew up with, if he wins, I expect his presidency will divide this nation on race more than it’s been in recent years.
I don't why people keep believing this despite all contrary evidence. Detroit, DC, Memphis and I could keep naming others but electing someone just because they're black doesn't seem to work at racial reconciliation.
