First off I stood in line for 1hr and 15min before I got into the building to vote, when I got in the building and got to the desk, I had to fill out an absentee ballot, I had my drivers license out waiting for the woman to check it and you know what? She never even asked me for it! Then they made me go stand in a huge crowd of people for another 45 minutes, Im assuming while they checked my registration and then they just came to the desk and yelled out your name, mind you I seen people that I knew were not ahead of me getting called before me and my moms boyfriend who went to vote with me, was in line behind me got called 15 people after me! It was very disorganized and chaotic, I could have definetly got in line and voted again. Im gonna report this to Mccains website. I do live in Ohio and I can see now why theres so much fraud, in part b/c of Acorn and b/c the poll workers arent doing their jobs correctly. I thought about calling and asking if they check i'd's before you vote but it prob will fall on deaf ears! Anyhow I voted for Mccain Saturday and I felt dame proud! PUMA!

Plus, umm, how shall I phrase this? Quite a different demographic than I normally see in the neighborhood.

Damned Quakers.

ID is required in Ohio.

When You Vote, Bring I.D.

Election Day Voting

* A current and valid photo identification (i.e. Ohio driver’s license, state ID card, government ID). Photo identification must show name and address (does not need to be current address for driver’s license or state id card); or
* A military identification that shows the voter’s name. (Does not need to show address); or
* A copy of a current utility bill (including cell phone bill), bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows the voter’s name and current address (including from a public college or university).

Let’s hope our new Vice President and President of the Senate Sarah Palin is able to tuck voting reform under the governmental reform agenda in her portfolio of responsibilities.

I just voted in Beavercreek, Ohio and they had to see my signature matched my drivers license and the signature that was on file. A pretty thorough check.

When I lived in California if you could breath you got to vote.

Of course in Chicago being alive is not a requirement.

I want to find the precint closest to Wrigley Field as I may get to meet all the Cubs there. ACORN registered all the Cubs players as living there. Even though a good number of them aren’t american citizens. ON a related note one of the players is becoming a citizen and may take the oath in a ceremony on opening day.

Since today is election day, there should be poll watchers keeping an eye on this.

Never been asked for ID here in western NY. Just once let me go to vote and find I “ already have”. I’ll be Joan the Jailbird.

Everytime I have voted here in Kentucky they check your i.d. with the log book (name, address, s.s.#), making sure info. is the same. Then, we sign the log book before we go into the voting booth.

I tend to agree with you. When I asked about it here in NorCal (last election) I was told we’re on the honor system. Then the poll worker giggled. **eye rollage**

Same thing in illinois, just asked your name and address and handed you a ballot. This being illinois though, I am pretty sure I can go vote again this afternoon.
