4 Reasons Why McCain Might Win
US News & World Report ^ | November 04, 2008 | James Pethokoukis

For what it is worth, here is why John McCain just might pull it out today, or at least tomorrow morning:

1) The new Battleground Poll has him down by 1.9 percentage points,

2) internal McCain polls show him gaining fast or leading in key states,

3) the stock market is up today,

4) Karl Rove picked Obama.

There's tens of millions of reasons McCain will win...like these:

Reason Number 5 : If Obama wins, Hillary fans won’t see the White House for a long time, maybe never.... but if McCain wins, Hillary will be on the ballot in 2012, no doubt.

So, how mad do you think Hillary fans are???

Republicans should go vote now. Democrats don’t need to vote. They can just stay home celebrate.

The huge mass mailing for absentee ballots by the McCain campaign will throw off the accurace of the polls. My phones have rung at least 10 times per day on each line. This is very unusual.

3) the stock market is up today,

That's the one that caught my eye today. The last couple of weeks that the market had big days, McCains numbers were going up. Let's pray for another 800 point gain today on Wall Street.

It’s going to be a long day, but you can bet that if it doesn’t look good at closing bell, the markets will reflect it, some last minute selling by tthose wanting to play safe until final results are in.

Then if it’s an Obama win- overnight trading will pretty much tell us what will happen at opening bell.

I was hoping that it was more simple then that....that the good God loving people, the silent majority, who far too often keep their opinions to themselves, will simply say that they will not allow their Country to be in the hands of a God-hating, coal-hating, lack-of-experience, military hating, capitalism hating socialist...and therefore will be voting for McCain.

") the stock market is up today,

That's the one that caught my eye today.

The ball always bounces up before it falls back down. We've seen this many times over the past month, a lot of early posturing, then late selling.

It’s cause KR had it so very wrong in 06 by saying things didn’t look that bad for the Republicans, his polling was really off.

5) His opponent is a socialist who pals around with terrorists and anti-semites and who wants to take your money to fund his reparations strategy.
