Not really. Those 2 states weren’t in play at all. Totally foregone conclusions.

Yes...they reported them as soon as the seconds left counted down to zero.

Vermont had 0% reporting, but somehow Kentucky had 8% reporting or something like it, I think.

With 1% reporting, McCain has the lead in Virginia...but that's 1% reporting, and who knows where it's from.

Sometimes the exit polls can be relied on. These 2 states were known quantities, so when the exit polls showed what was already expected it was a safe call.

Now if they start calling states that appeared to be close just as they close, or calling states in the opposite direction of what seemed to be likely, then I’ll get alarmed.
