Conservatism will never die...liberty will never go out of style
me

Ok, conservatives. Buck up. We are not whiners like the Democrats. Just remember this - we pledge ourselves, our sacred honor, to defend individual life and individual liberty. We will never give up, we will never give in. We did no lose this election because we did not have a conservative in the race. We WILL be back.

Anyone here gonna take the Striesand, Baldwin etc route? Gonna head to Canada? No, the Republican Party does not high tail it after defeat. You wont hear of the “O”’s being removed from the keyboards in the White House. We need to get out our legal pads and take notes. The sun will come up tomorrow...God is in control not Sen. Obama.

liberty will never go out of style

I have to disagree. A majority of Americans tonight voted against their own best interests. They voted for a parent because they think of themselves as children in need of guidance. They don't deserve liberty, they aren't mature enough.

H.L. Mencken once famously said, "Americans tend to get the government they deserve. They are about to get it - good and hard."

It wouldn’t matter if we lived in a monarchy. Its our values that used to makes us great. The goose that laid the golden egg is almost dead. Look around, the USA past was a light in a troubled dark world, now that light is fading. We are becoming like them. We need multi representative party elections for I feel this election was the last where a republican had a chance of winning.

Liberty is gone. This country has opted for bread over freedom. Four decades of illiberal dominance in our elementary schools, high schools, colleges, and universities has come home to roost.

But make no mistake, those who seek free bread still expect all of the blessings of a free market. Which makes them morons.

Buchanan said its going to be near impossible for the pendulum to swing back. Have you traveled outside the US and seen the squalor the lack of support for basic decency and civil rights. Life outside the US is nasty brutish and short. We have let a little too many of immigrants in, at a little to fast a pace, so that we have become more and more like the world. Free enterprise nowhere in the world did it flourish as we allowed it to here, now that is waining. We can always be socialist like these other countries. Once we become like them it will be difficult to ever go back without some dramatic upheaval. The kind our forefathers warned us would have to take place.

That the majority of people in America are this mind-blowingly stupid astounds me.

It’s going to get bad, real bad for the next few years. I suggest everyone try to become the gray man. If you’re identified as an enemy of the state, you’re going to regret it. So blend in and do nothing to stand out.

The time to respond will come, but you have to stay alive until then to be able to respond.

G_d have mercy on us all.

It will never go out of style... Florida went for Obama but 62% of the voters passed the marriage protection amendment there. I'm looking forward to the passage of similar measures in Arizona and California later on in the evening.

agreed. a huge change has taken place tonight. Most Americans want Socialism. We are all comrades now.. Government will now hand out free College Education, Free Health Care, etc.. The government will not only be our Mommy and Daddy, but our employer, and the only problem is, it won’t be free.. All will be equal and broke.

Succession from the Union, never seemed so good.

Lessons we need to learn, and quick.

1. We need our own media. No media = no hope of wining ever.
2. No whishy washy rhinoism. Bold, agressive, raw, message.
3. New hip, rebel image. Conservatism is currently as hip as a Wilford Brimley oatmeal commercial. Why would 18-25yo people care?
4. GOP establishment = useless. Getting ready for “bipartisanship” as we speak. Grass roots needs to take the lead.
5. Can’t ignore black, hispanic voters. Its a miracle that we win any elections with 90% of blacks against us under normal circumstances. Must not pander though. Can’t win the race to hand out free stuff.
6. Must contest every bleeping race. To many dems run unopposed. Pathetic.
7. Must position ourselves as the sane party. Our new prez is nuts, we need to be the non-suicide alternative when he starts messing the whole world up.
8. Anti-corruption must be a key issue. The ‘rats are ten times as corrupt as our losers but they have made the voters believe otherwise. We need to have no toleration for scum so we can hit the sucm on capitol hill 24/7/365.
9. We need electoral reform. The vote fraud must stop or we are dead. Maybe literally.

My first instinct is that we need to fight tooth and nail with all our might against everything Zerobama and the dems are going to try to foist upon our nation in the next four years.

On second thought, maybe the best thing is to let the libs have their way. Vote "present" on everything. Take responsibility for nothing. Make it absolutely clear what happens when libtard policies are allowed to be implemented.

Then rise from the ashes.

I'm thinking that if we manage to mitigate the damage, it will be used against us. "See, Obama wasn't the total disaster that conservatives predicted."

Must have a media as in europe, polarized and pluralistic. Conservatives do not look “cool”, they will always be marginalized.

Stop kidding yourself. The demographics are against any hope
for Conservatism as now defined. The Latins, the Blacks, and their Liberal white and Jewish allies will overwhelm the electorate in the years to come.

I voted for McCain, a true Moderate, today but only as a last ditch hope to delay the inevitable storm to come. The Obama-Pelosi-Reid triumverate will just get us there a lot faster.

I completely agree with you that we need a partisan media. Balance comes from two newspapers. Not one liberal newspaper pretending to be “fair and balanced”

Conservatives can be cool. Disagree with you there. They can be the very epitome of cool. Because modern conservatives are only “conservative” in name. We believe in a radical, extremist concept called freedom. That is always hip when tyrants are around.

We aren’t the reactionaries. Obama is. He wants to undo all the progress we have made since 1776 and go back to the authoritarian feudalism of the past. Freedom and economic growth is the future. The only question: Do we need to have another dark age first.

Conservative values are timeless, they will never die. But maybe the word “conservative” should. Its no longer accurate. We need a new word to describe the deathless philosophy of the cause of justice, freedom, and opportunity....

Naturally future economic problems caused by federal government intervention will be blamed on the free market and 'evil corporations'. the inability to provide more goodies will be blamed on those dastardly Republicans. maybe this guy will just suck so bad that the GOP can take back the White House in 2012. now that we've gotten the fetish for an African-American president out of the way, he can actually be held to account for his record for a change.
