You might also consider Bobby Jindal, Gov of LA.

Also, I hope Ted Stevens gets expelled from the Senate so that Palin can appoint herself to the then vacant position. She will stay until the next cycle election (at least 2 and maybe 6 years). While there, she will have had years more Senatorial experience than O had (his 150 days of experience).

Super Sarah had nothing whatsoever to do with the loss; neither did McCain. It was a complete and utter revulsion of the boob currently in the White House!

While I am a big supporter of Palin, I dont think 2012 is a good time for her to run again unless the economy is in the tanks. Palin has been SOOO savaged by the media as a stupid airhead, alot of the myth about her still persist in the public who will refuse to vote for her

No doubt about it, if she wasn’t there McCain and whoever else would have lost 57 states. She energized and united the base like nobody else could have or did. Unfortunately she didn’t have a lot to work with in McCain.

“I would not have voted for Mcamnesty if it were not for Palin!! “

DITTO. When Thompson dropped out, I was right here on FR saying a McCain yard sing would never cast its shadow on my front lawn. When he selected Palin, someone I had been watching since February, I was beyond excited and would have had McCain/Palin tattooed on my chest if my wife would of let me. I would of crawled through glass on bare knees to vote for them.

Party needs to be cleaned out, and we can prob. forget about 2012 as well.

America is dead. Never will you have freedom again, not that there was much left anyway

Any vacancy in US Senate in Alaska requires a new election in 90 days. No appointments there anymore.

Please don’t read into this anything that I didn’t intend.

You sir are an idiot. No offense.

Phew now that that is out. No where I mean no where in the history of american politics can you point to a VP candidate so energizing the base as Palin did.

Thompson Deep thinker?

Sanford? Sheesh

Sorry in terms of political capital Palin owns the conservative base in her pocket. And it is that capital that wins elections, not your GRE score.

The conservative movement has been screwed, like it or not there will need to be a Palin or someone similar that is outside of the traditional republican circles to revive it.

If you can not see that ( and it is obvious you can’t by your suggestion) then we will get the same steam rolling we got last night.

The media managed to shape Palin's image

Also, Team McCain handlers tried to low-key Palin. Recall that they would not let her do many interviews, etc. Even she complained about that.

Just last week, Gretchen on Fox&Friends said they had an open invite for Palin, but Team McCain had refused to let her "sit on their couch".

On Monday, Megyn Kelly was complaining that Team McCain cancelled a pre-scheduled interview between her and Palin.

I posted weeks ago that McCain's ego might not be able to handle Palin's popularity.

Its simple: the sheeple choose to believe that the MSM tells them. And when the MSM is constantly ripping and destroying Sarah Palin, they will believe what they are being sold.

And yes, if she's such an airhead, how did she defeat the good old boys and become Governor? Isn't that a slap at the citizens of Alaska then?

Sarah Palin did add to the Republican ticket

Easy answer ... cajones. She was the only one apparently willing to fight it out towards the end.

Sarah was the only shining light in this entire fiasco of a race.

I agree. And I think she has a great future ahead of her. Think of the numbers and excitement at her rallies. She speaks well for Conservatives. Finally, a voice for us! And a pretty one at that!

"Ummm - yesterday was a wipeout"

No, it wasn't a wipe out. it was close, which is why the vote fraud worked. McCain, nor anyone else could have got any closer. the fix was in by media and Obama's fraud squad. There was nothing anyone could do, too much corruption in the courts and government.

I posted weeks ago that McCain's ego might not be able to handle Palin's popularity.

I'm not as convinced that it was McCain himself as it was the gaggle of drooling idiots that McCain surrounded himself with.

We heard a lot of backbiting coming out of McCain staffers about how Sarah was going off the reservation.

Sarah, when turned loose, is a good communicator. That's what the GOP needs to turn it around. That's what Reagan did. Reagan didn't invent conservatism. Reagan communicated conservatism to the American people very well.

That's something that BHO did this cycle. He did a lot of talking about nothing, but he did it really well.

I don´t think she is a deep enough thinker or principled enough to be a future leader.

Right. Just because she took on corruption in Alaska, knows the energy issue like the back of her hand, received national security updates, had an 80% approval rating in her state and was the only republican with the guts to call Nobama out on being a socialist & friend of terrorists in front of cameras with NO FEAR.
Yeah, who wants her as a leader?
