I am not dispirited. I see the possibility of president-elect Obama governing from the center. He said that he's president of all the people.

True that this is not the traditional Democratic Party of FDR, Truman, Scoop Jackson, Hubert Humphrey, et al of pre-1970s America.

It's also true that the leaders and stalwarts of the Party are the 1960s New Left and anarchist street rabble and their ideological issue. Yes, they've always blamed America for all the world's problems but..

and as for Obama himself there is that speech in Germany where he confessed America's sins against the world's peoples and Her sins against the world's environment. But remember?

Obama at the end told that audience in that foreign land proudly (paraphrasing) "But I love the bitch and I'm going to make her a good citizen of the world."

And hey! I remember the "Fairness Doctrine." Wait to hear Top-40 AM 24/7. Lots of great music all the time.

He lied, like usual. The thought of Bill Ayers walking around the White House makes me cry.
