Sarah,
You represent our best conservative values and we will remember those who betrayed you and blasted you for your ideas.

Bingo! She was what motivated me. At work and elsewhere, I can't count how many conservatives told me "I'm not voting for McCain, I'm voting for Palin". If not for her, things would have been much worse.

Sara'cuda, we love you and you have nothing to apologize for.

He cost her the election! The Rodney King why can’t we all just get along strategy has proven counterproductive once again.

Sarah Palin did not cost McCain votes. He cost the ticket with the loss of votes due to his inept campaign. I went to the Washington campaign headquarters where the phone banks were. During the day there was only 2 to three people manning the phones and she sent me out with 10 campaigners to wave signs which we did. When I went back to the campaign phone banks we did have about 10 to 15 phone workers on the phones. I believe it was to little to late! I was asked on the week-end before the election to help out. But this should have been going on right after the convention or during the primaries!

I sent money to McCain for the first time after he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate and I know that to be true of many others....more than enough to pay for the clothes! I hope she keeps them!

I, for one, and my immediate voting family (for six) ONLY voted for McCain because Palin was on the ticket.

I would have been delighted if McCain had won and had to step down for some reason in the spring of next year.

McCain was never the conservative’s choice in the first place. My guess is that most people held their nose and voted for him only because of palin..

Governor Palin, Being a conservative, I don’t think I could have voted for such a moderate Republican as John McCain (McCain/Feingold, McCain/Kennedy) had it not been for you. You inspired more votes for the candidate than he could ever have gleaned on his own. God bless you, and give you peace. You did good! I am grieved the Republican ticket did not win, but our hope is in and with you for 2012.

The only reason I voted for McCain (I am in the safe state of TX...so I could have not voted for POTUS and it would not have made a diff)...was because he selected Palin. Up until that point...I was going to stay home and punish the GOP for giving me a RINO.

Sarah Palin is the American Margaret Thatcher. She brought a lot of class and grace to a campaign that sure as hell needed it, and she spoke from her heart. Seems to me she will be a formidable candidate in the future, and I look forward to supporting her in any fashion.

Sarah's a great lady. I pray we haven't seen the last of her.

For what it's worth, I was a nose-holder for McCain until Palin came on board. After that, I was in it to win it.

Sadly, we didn't.

I don't know who put that guilt trip on Governor Palin, but I can assure her that I would not have bothered to go to the polls at all if she had not been on the ticket.

I guess John McCain is basically a good man, with good intentions - but he is an appeaser and appeasers can't win against liberals - they are too mean and too vicious.

Nominating McCain to run in this particular race was like bringing a nerf ball to a swordfight. I stay on this board a lot, and I remember (cause I was one of them) many posters being immediately turned off when McCain was announced as our candidate.

Then, along came Sarah. What a brilliant light shown from her and the base was fired up immediately. We all fell in line behind McCain/Palin in unprecedented numbers.

The distracters and complainers - like Romney, for instance - were either sore losers, or democrats, so they are a wash.

Whether or not Gov. Palin decides to ever run National again, she will never be forgotten and she will always be loved and admired, as a person, as well as a candidate.

She is a humble and honest person. Unfortunately, there is no place for her in this loathsome new age.

May I respectfully disagree? People like Sarah make places for themselves, even in this age. I thank God for her and for the hope that Sarah may not be done with the lower 49 states and that she may return in 4 years to change the country back into what it was supposed to be. God bless Governor Sarah Palin, and I will continue to pray that He will bless us with the great governor as our president in four years. She has a place in our hearts and in the White House.
