Careful, God told Samuel to let them have their king. He had plans for a King all along.........:^)

True...but He also told them that the king would make slaves of their children and tax them heavily.

I DO get your point though, and irrespective if our own current problems are God's providence OR His will, I stopped trusting our government a long time ago.

But hey...on a similar note...there could be something pretty good after this! :-)
