...I'm reluctant to get into this issue, but, I took a course in college, Aberration and deviance in Society in 1971. The premise was, you can only effect change by radical extremes. Moderation will not change the status quo. The radicals then adopted the philosophy of organization of those that felt unable to find solutions, determine their destiny's, and then life would be wonderful living. Maybe conservatives should adopt these tactics and be more organized. But, beware of the organization you sign on with, the less personal freedom you may end up with. It's the now, that concerns me, not the later...

Maybe conservatives should adopt these tactics and be more organized. But, beware of the organization you sign on with, the less personal freedom you may end up with. I agree that there's certain organizational tactics that are universal and work for all ideologies, but we need to be careful of who we throw in with and not to make a pact with the devil in order to regain political power. IMO, Alinsky's philophy is one we should be knowledgeable about but those of us with a sense of Christian morality should not adopt those tactics. Again, he was a Marxist. Do we adopt Stalin's tactics because they were effective (and lethal)? Hell no!
