Isn’t that the truth.

Yes the reality of the lies is sinking in very quickly.

I'm surprised that so many pundits on the right are now praising this historic election and saying that Obama won't be able to veer to the left as his more extreme constituents expect him to.

There is not much preventing Obama from veering to the left if he so chooses. He has the Senate and the House, and this "mandate" for "change". Powerful Dems are saying that the climate of absolute power has never been greater and are rushing to pen legislation, even as Obama and his team promise to reach across the aisle and unite everyone.

As I've said before, it might be possible to unite everyone behind the USA or even a President, but it is not possible to unite everyone on their core issues. The differences are just too great...on abortion, guns, socialism, healthcare, foreign policy...we will remain polarized.

Unity and bipartisanship to a Democrat means that all of us abandon our core beliefs and move to their side. If we don't, we must be ignorant, intolerant or racist. It will be our fault if unity and harmony are not achieved. Why are we resisting change, they will ask? Why can't we just move forward? Don't we want to make America a better, brighter place full of unicorns and government checks?

No, not really.
