How about we get back to cementing the Base, yes... us bitter gun clingers, and then try and make the message palatable to the Masses by putting up a candidate with Charisma to help get it across. Someone like Palin.
Or, we can take your suggestion and run another Dole/McCain type ticket and see exactly how far down our polling numbers can go on election day...
Actually, I'm saying quite the opposite: preserve the base.
The problem, as evidenced by the many angry replies to my post, is that the value voters think they are the entire base and want to jettison the rest of us.
I have nothing against values voters. All I ask is that they realize they are not the entire base. They are merely on leg of the GOP stool.
