Economics: Palin, unlike McCain, supports creation of wealth; drilling ANWR. Creation of wealth begins with obtaining raw materials, the building blocks for the Wealth of Nations.
International Economics: Palin negotiated an International commerce agreement with Canada for the pipeline delivery of petroleum products from Alaska to the lower 48. That, in itself, is quite an accomplishment. Name one other US Governor who negotiated an international treaty with Canada during their first term.
National Security: This is for any Governor of the only US State (formerly territory) occupied during WWII; I see a giant BS flag over this absurd nonsense asserting Palin knows little about national security. Given the DEW line, and an array of National Security related projects are hosted in Alaska.
Too bad if I come across as an anti-snob, because, I happen to like REAL folks in government. Palin’s just an ordinary person, who performed extraordinary work as Governor. She's not larger than life. She not carefully scripted.
As far as the Huckster, the only difference between his primary issues and those of the democRats; was the “R” after his name. And McCain, the only difference was winning the WOT.
So, why exactly do you oppose Governor Palin?

She does not have a clue about economics. She has a very shallow understanding of national issues, which tells me she has very little intellectual curiosity. I can tell from her performance at the debates, as well as from her interviews, that she has no real political philosophy to guide her. She shows little interest in coming up with new policy ideas.
In other words, she's a lightweight. Her political appeal is based on nothing more than crass populism and the identity politics of sex.
And no, the fact that she was not involved in national politics until August is no excuse. Reagan showed an intense interest and curiosity in political philosophy as well as policy issues at the national level long before he ran for president, even before he became governor of California.
