The best thing McCain could do right now:
Demand that Stevens resign if he wins and ask for the signatures of all of the other GOP Senators asking Sarah to either run or appoint herself to the Senate. McCain can do this, and it would heal many of the questions and concerns about their partnership.

Then the best thing Sarah Palin could do would be to tell McCain to drop dead, since he is no longer relevant.

I think Palin should be a popular govenour outside Washington than join the unpopular Senate. Plus, governours like Reagan, Clinton, and both Bushsin became President. Senators like Dole, Kerry, and McCain have had trouble becoming President.

Wow. You want him to do something that is against the law in Alaska? He cannot make her take the Senate Seat as it has to be done by special election. Are you thinking she should resign from the govenor position put herself in for three months and then hope she is elected Senator????
