And over on this thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2130026/posts (”Hamas: We met Obama advisers”) we have some FReepers insisting we should believe rumors about President-elect Obama that are being spewed by a Hamas leader. No other source. A Hamas leader said it, so we’re supposed to believe it!

Nope. Barack Obama is President-elect of the United States, and if you want me to believe something bad about him, you’d better have a MUCH more credible source than a Hamas leader or “news services” whose reports don’t identify any sources. I voted for McCain, but Obama won, and he’s going to be President of the United States for the next 4 years. This is not a reason to start imagining that terrorists are our friends, helpfully giving us dirt on our President-elect.

Thank you again for your prudent advice.

I will admit to resisting giving Obama support at this time, because I think he is dangerous.

I will, however, try to be exercise good judgment as the example you are showing us.
