RINO ALERT!!!
Inspired by a drive to get back to the fundamentals of the Republican Party, Senator John Danforth, Lt. Governor Michael Steele, and Governor Christine Todd Whitman created the political organization the Republican Leadership Council
Obamas victory showed that the majority of the American people aren’t narrow-minded and don’t object to bi-partisan policy solutions.
I see this election as being more about hope than just change. It was about the hope that we can and should expect more out of our government an area where Republicans have disappointed, but economic conservatism has not. This election was a clear repudiation of the last eight years. I can’t tell you how many long-time Republicans have been in touch with me to say that they really wanted to vote for McCain, but couldn’t accept the rightward tilt of the campaign, which they had seen too much of during the Bush Administration.

Thank you to Lt. Gov. Steele
06/23/2008, Submitted by Governor Whitman
It is with fondness and appreciation that the RLC bids farewell to one of our co-chairs, Lt. Gov. Michael Steele. Steele will be taking a step back from some of his previous commitments, including the RLC, to focus fully on GOPAC, which he chairs. The RLC is pleased to partner with GOPAC for a number of events and look forward to continuing to work with Steele and his staff on future endeavors. I am personally very grateful for his efforts in helping to get the RLC to where we are today. Best of luck to him and to GOPAC in their very important work.

The Republican Party will become a third party if it nominates "another McCain."McCain was in the Senate far too long before getting the nomination to have expected to win the election. No one who has been in the Senate for 14 years, even, has ever been elected POTUS. And the same goes for governors as well - 14 years after you first get elected governor, if you haven't attained at least the VP position you will not ever win election to POTUS.
We have to have a nominee who will insure that its campaign - read, its VP candidate - is willing and able to tell the truth about the Obama Administration. Because it is only too clear that journalism will do its "best" to prevent that. Just like it did this year. By smearing the Republican ticket - and the Republican constituency - as being racist. Just like Bill Clinton did back in '93 when Rudy Guliani was running against NYC Mayor David Dinkins.
- McCain was an author of McCain-Feingold, an unconstitutional "law" which undoubtedly helped reduce the field of Republican contenders before the primaries even started. Ronald Reagan couldn't have run under McCain-Feingold, for example.
- McCain was too fascinated with the idea of being a "nonpartisan in the military tradition" to allow his campaign to execute a core duty of giving the public a clear idea of what it could reasonably expect from an Obama Administration.
Nice guilt by association you have going there. By the way, are you aware that GOPAC was originally Gingrich’s organization?
Aligning with Whitman and her AntiLife club is just another illustration of why Michael Steele is Neocon RINO social liberal who should not run the RNC.
