Skip to comments. Are we witnessing a Tin Foil Theory Come True?(Semi-Vanity)
Posted on 11/12/2008 10:57:08 AM PST by Blogger
Compare this thread from earlier this year http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1994684/posts
With this article & recent history... http://www.cnbc.com/id/27641538
Hmm. Well item #1 ... check.
Doesn’t seem all that tin foil to me. This is a vanity well worth posting.
Ping for future reference
It is getting a little creepy.
Newly purchased “assault weapon”: Check
Canned goods and frozen side of beef: Check
Extra tin foil: Check
It’s all in the play book. We’d better cling to our guns and religion.
One problem - I highly doubt the military will go along with any REX 84 plans.
A long list still mostly unfulfilled.
As one who has long observed that dated predictions of disasters almost never happen, I’m struck that at least the first item DID come true. Will be waiting (actively) for the rest.
Keep me informed as the list is fulfilled.
Hmmm.....I’m not at all into conspiracy theories. But who knows with these clowns.
Nearly every comment on the old thread dismisses it as kooky conspiracy theory stuff.
From the first link:
“SPECIAL “CLOSED SESSION” OF U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISCUSSED A LOT MORE THAN THE PENDING SECURITY SURVEILLANCE PROVISIONS!
This was only the fourth time in 176 years that Congress has closed its doors to the public. What was it that they were discussing that they do NOT want us to know about?
Word has begun leaking from last nights special, closed-door session of the United States House of Representatives.
Not only did members discuss new surveillance provisions as was the publicly stated reason for the closed door session, they also discussed:
1. the imminent collapse of the U.S. economy to occur by September 2008 ..”
OK. So that is what they “claimed” Pelosi’s Congress discussed then (in March). Did they actually do that? The rest? Seems a bit extreme.
“6. the possibility of retaliation against members of Congress for the collapses,
7. the location of “safe facilities” for members of Congress and their families to reside during expected massive civil unrest,”
Is this an admission of guilt prior to the fact that this was indeed CONGRESS’ fault and not just the “failed Bush policies of the past 8 years”?
Seeing how the government’s bailout has failed big time, it’s looking like #2 is not far behind.
I dismissed it when I first read it too, back early this year - but I remembered it. Then when the economy started going in the dink I recalled the article and put it kinda on the distant radar. Then I read the cnbc article and my eyes grew a bit wider. The fact the idea is being floated is concerning.
Did you read the CNBC article too? I know it is just words, but the fact it is being floated. Just a bit odd.
Well, it would certainly be interesting to know if our members of Congress got out of the stock market conveniently before the bear emerged.
4. advance round-ups of “insurgent U.S. citizens” likely to move against the government,
Sometimes instead of rushing for the tinfoil and calling people names we need to be open minded and keep our eyes open. Why is any so called conspiracy so quickly shut down? Did anyone in the U.S.A. ever expect Hoover to bring out the tanks and plow down tent city in Washington after WWI?
I was listening to Glenn Beck this morning, he said: "Please Go Buy Food, Now!"
I call it the Bible&Rifle Society.
Well - the thread was posted on March 31, seven months before the collapse. Of course the collapse was in OCTOBER, so this September 2008 stuff is just a bunch of tin foil BS! ;)
Yeah, I recall seeing - and dismissing - it too. OK, so just the first thing on the long list came true, and the second is a reasonable follow-on ... but the rest starts getting kinda freaky. We’ll see what happens. Keep in touch on this.
Excellent name! Must use that often...
Lehman Brothers was the beginning of the collapse. It went down on September 15.
Okay this one gets me. I've seen video, I've seen pictures. But the non-tin foil hat people haven't come up with an explanation for these camps at all that I have seen.
Good find.I had forgotten about it.
If we have a recession or depression that becomes bad enough can you imagine people quietly standing in soup lines as they did in the Great Depression? Sorry, I believe cities will burn and thus there may be a use for them.
To facilitate discussion here, the list:
they also discussed:
1. the imminent collapse of the U.S. economy to occur by September 2008,
2. the imminent collapse of US federal government finances by February 2009,
3. the possibility of Civil War inside the USA as a result of the collapse,
4. advance round-ups of “insurgent U.S. citizens” likely to move against the government,
5. the detention of those rounded-up at “REX 84” camps constructed throughout the USA,
6. the possibility of retaliation against members of Congress for the collapses,
7. the location of “safe facilities” for members of Congress and their families to reside during expected massive civil unrest,
8. the necessary and unavoidable merger of the United States with Canada (for its natural resources) and with Mexico (for its cheap labor pool),
9. the issuance of a new currency - THE AMERO - for all three nations as the proposed solution to the coming economic armageddon.
Ammo : Check....vacuum packed with desiccant.
Updated previous assault weapons purchased and add more untraceable weapons to arsenal : Check.
Forests need periodic fires to clear deadwood & debris. Prevention only delays them into far larger, and unavoidable, cataclysms.
We are semi-fortunate as there is only my husband, the dog and me in the house. I feel for everyone who has whole families to care for and feed.
We have bought so much stuff from Sam’s Club in the past weeks we proably have paid their electric bill.
Yep, and the government should have stayed out of the way and let the fire clear the deadwood and debris on WallStreet.
It’s the pigeon!!!
US May Lose Its 'AAA' Rating
Ok. I'll bite. Who gives a credit rating to the US government or it's financials? And why should I give a crap?
Here I'll do it too..... Ok. I've just rated US Bonds as 'B'. So I'll go buy....what?
A link passed on to me at another thread ...
I am thinking we could be in really deep
they put a Marxist in charge.
Last week I told a friend I had pulled everything out of the market. Putting it in metals and food. Barter items like powedered milk, coffee, tea, rice. Giving family members veggie seeds for Victory Gardens. The friend told me I was being a bit extreme... “it isn’t going to be that bad.” Along with the comment somebody has to pay for it...
I told him, “I paid everything I am required to pay.”
"We have bought so much stuff from Sams Club in the past weeks we proably have paid their electric bill."
Me and four dogs. Ditto on the electric bill...My neighbor picked up their (Sam's) mtg payment, LOL.
Do you own your home or have land that you own? Foreclosures, insolvent business, etc. and unemployment will continue to grow. It will move to municipalities who will increases costs and/or cut services. Can you hold onto your home if you do not own it? Will it make sense to hold on to it if your balance sheet looks like the banks and business. In other words. Banks make decisions based on what is good for them and their stockholders, business makes decisions based on what is good for the business (and lays off people if need be), do private citizens make decisions in the same manner when they find themselves upside down in mortgages they will never recover the lost equity in? There are good people paying their bills that will fall if the worst is to come.
Beat the spring rush, get your seeds and fertlizer now.
Ah - I see that you are one of those #4 types. Don’t worry
Comrade - a bit of time at school will bring you to your senses.
And - if it were my FR page I would get rid of the photo of the house and boat with the warehouse name in the background. Seriously. You can keep the photo of your wife up there though! That is your wife right? She looks just like that one actress! ;)
Not a bad idea. Ditto on the powdered milk.
Excellent overview of Goldman Sachs. Interactive as well as the recent topics on the right.
See all the players who are stealing your money.
MORE tin foil over here please!
And the economic collapse could have been fairly well determined I suppose. We had been on our way since late 2007.
However, all of these things don’t seem too far-fetched in light of the ever-growing bailouts (oh I know, the gov’t can just print more money) and Obama taking office.
I have been buying seeds that are currently available. Those are going as Christmas gifts to family and close friends. Sure a fruit gift basic is great, but the gift of food seeds is better.
