Why CYA now that he's won the election? Perhaps he made some overtures to X42 in the hopes they'd campaign for him, but promises are made to be broken as the Clintons should well know.
Frankly, for a person whose entire campaign was wanting change, all he does is appoint Clintonistas and having this albatross and her hubby around his neck would serve him right. I look forward to finally getting a Senator in my State who earns their $$$$ working for it.

Well, there's talk of Schumer being offered a post, too. Wouldn't that be great?

“”Why CYA now that he’s won the election?””
Because he’s already campaigning for ‘12!!!! Plus, he dare not yet reveal his true agenda for the country. That will unfold in due time, maybe rapidly during the first year. Meanwhile, he must continue to lull the nation of sheep further into the blissful haze of a “transformative, historic moment”.
